[Our second blog is from senior wide receiver, Mark Mackey. Mark was recruited by Delaware in 2006 from Central Dauphin High School. where he was a two-year starter. He played in the PA East-West All-Star game and was nominated for the Big-33 game. Mark also enjoyed basketball for all 4 years at Central Dauphin (starting in 3). At Delaware, Mark was a backup receiver in both his first two years (2006-2007), catching a TD pass against Rhode Island in his true sophomre campaign. He sat out 2008 and received a medical redshirt preserving Junior eligibility for the 2009 season where he caught his 2nd career TD against UMass. Mark has played in 34 games for the Blue Hens, receiving 46 passes for a total of 519 yards and 2 TDs. Here's his blog...]

Our first blog is from Senior Defensive Tackle, Siddiq Haynes who was recruitted by Delaware in 2006 from C.E. Jordan High School in Durham, NC. Siddiq was a gray-shirt recruit, meaning that he did not enroll at Delaware until the Spring of 2007. As a starter last season, Siddiq has developed into a team leader on the Blue Hen defense and is our most experienced lineman going into the 2010 season. Jerry Oravitz, better known as Jerry O, has been a fixture at Delaware since 1997. He is a native of New Castle, Delaware and has always had an interest in sports. From his early days as an All-State center fielder and All-Conference point guard at St Elizabeth's high school, sports has been an important part of his life.
