The defensive coordinator did not change but both Coach Legg and Coach Cope are new.
John, Fair enough. Coach Cope(land) coaches the Cornerbacks. I don't see a coach listed for the Safeties nor for Special Teams (which is presumably everyone's, and thus no one's, responsibility).

New Approach on Defense?

A fair amount of any optimism o this board is based upon the new OC and the hope of a more wide open, up tempo, deceptive, and aggressive Offense. My question is other than the switch to the 4-3, what changes in approach should we expect form the Defense which I believe has had no changes in coachin...

Re: Worrilow cut

Pat, I get that, but what I don't get is no compensation for a player released because he isn't that player that he was due to injury? Bill Good for him, can't blame the Eagles one bit. There was zero return on their investment. Yeah, because his own teammate collided with him on the first day of pr...

Good for him, can't blame the Eagles one bit. There was zero return on their investment. Yeah, because his own teammate collided with him on the first day of practice in 2018. :( What I don't get is, wasn't Worrilow released because he was unable to perform due to a football injury? I though that e...

Rich, I do but funny thing is, while I can't remember where I put my keys 5 minutes ago, I actually remembered the vast majority of the 1971 starters even without the programs.
HENJOHN, That is impressive!

Re: 1971 Starting OL & 1972 Starting LBers

HENJOHN, Thank you. That 1971 team was something like 2nd overall in the country in rushing among ALL Colleges, with an average of something like 500+ yards rushing per game. In my memory, the 1971 OL was the best run blocking OL I have seen at UD in 48 seasons and counting. I was surprised that non...

Re: 1971 Starting OL & 1972 Starting LBers

Go to UD sports, choose Football, choose Roster and in the drop down find your desired year. Players can be listed by position but doesn't actually give starters. Though you might recognize a few like 1971 Center Tom Bratton. Thanks Henry. I also didn't realize that roster info was so readily avail...

1971 Starting OL & 1972 Starting LBers

I'll probably get bashed for asking but can any of you fellow old timers out there either identify or tell me where to find the names of the 1971 starting OL and the 1972 starting LBers, as well as the best player(s) among both of those groups?

Re: Live Construction Footage

With respect to the Game Day stadium info, I don't see any mention of the Food Trucks that were referenced earlier by UD.

Re: Final Scrimmage?

I haven't seen postings about the practices with officials that were conducted on Aug 15 & 17. Any insights from those practices/scrimmages?

Re: Men’s Schedule

I would rather UD play away (or neutral site where possible) Div I games than non-Div I games which I have not, and will not, attend. With all of these East Coast mid-major and lower Div I programs struggling to get home games, why aren't they playing each other home and away?

Practices on Aug 15, 17, & 20 w/ Officials

Will the practices on Aug 15, 17, & 20 with officials be held on the practice fields or inside the Stadium?

Re: Top 100 all-time Blue Hens

Glenn Covin, the most sensational HB I have seen in 48 seasons of UD FB. Glenn played on the Frosh team in 1970 and was a revelation in the championship season of 1971 (only loss was a ripoff squeaker to Temple at UD) when he fell just short of 1,000 yards (10 game schedule + Boardwalk Bowl) which w...

Re: Live Construction Footage

Did UD hire their own project manager who oversees this project to monitor and keep things on schedule? Did they have incremental milestones that the contractor(s)/subcontractor(s) had to meet or be subject to escalating monetary penalties as well as recovery plans (expedited material, more workers,...
