Re: New Coaches in CAA

Not CAA related but Pitino has been landing recruits every where since coming on board at Iona. I want to say he has signed 5-6 guys in last week with 2 bigs coming on board today. 6'9 230 Crafood (Phillips was following him on Twitter) who had offers from BC and Mason as well as 7'1 Shema who had ...

Re: Will the WAC be delayed??

Per the following link, both residential and non-residential construction may remain open under Carney's March 22 stay-at-home order.

Re: Will the WAC be delayed??

The cascading effect of the declining economic activity will become devastating for many millions of citizens, affecting even those that feel safe with certain guaranteed sources of income. That does not mean that we give an "all clear". In the big picture the WAC, fall sports, fall semester, baske...

Re: Transfer season

IMHO there may be significantly fewer transfers this year than last. The coronovirus restrictions prevent coaches and prospective transfers from meeting face-to-face and campus visits. To date the portal says you are wrong. Ever see a kid enter the portal and return to his former school? I imagine ...

Re: Live Construction Footage

CapeHen & Baltimore Hen, You are obviously correct. One of the two tiers of the boxes at the top of the Stadium probably would have been for luxury boxes with two elevators (1 at either side) going right to the top to provide access. If I understand correctly, the design was changed in part because ...

Re: Live Construction Footage

Bricklayers are true craftsmen. I see the press box obsession is alive and well. Consider the needed timing; my guess of course 1st of August - athletic training (soaking tubs for football) Mid-August - staff move in Late August - 1st & 2nd floor spaces (arriving student-athletes) Mid-September - F...

Re: Coaches

I think the problem is not necessarily the pass rush coach. But we need true edge rusher personnel Partially agree but partially disagree. As previously commented by at least a few posters, last season's DL didn't appear to know how to use their hands to generate a pass rush, the DL appeared to be ...

Re: Coaches

It was already announced that Coach Legg will move from LBs to take over the Safeties where he has previous coaching experience. Sorry, I either missed or forgot that. So - 1. Is Legg still Special Teams Coordinator and, if not, who assumes that responsibility? 2. Legg was also Outside LBers...

Coaches

1. Does DL Coach Belin coach both the DTds & the DEs? IMHO thye afre two significantly different positions and maybe should have separate coaches like Inside & Outside LBers. 2. Who coaches the SAFs since no one is idetified on the website with that responsibility (unless it is the unlisted DC Rojas).

Re: Live Construction Footage

Guess its all relative to what you are used to seeing. I am guessing the night time was hopping even more. More important things to argue about. Agreed. Why isn't the f'ing press box finished yet? And why wasn't it designed to be bigger? Seriously, one level and it doesn't even extend the width of ...

Re: What will NCAA do about scholarships?

I saw someone tweet KT after the NCAA made the announcement asking if UD would "great an additional 1 year scholarships to all spring athletes"? Terrific question, but who knows if he will ever follow-up with CR in the issue. I would hope the answer is NO & just review on a case-by-case basis like ...

Re: What will NCAA do about scholarships?

https://www.si.com/college/2020/03/13/ncaa-grant-spring-athletes-relief-season-eligibility-coronavirus Hooray for the NCAA. And I don't say that very often. But someone recognized that senior student athletes are in a terrible bind RIGHT NOW and can't wait to see how this all goes before accepting ...

Re: CORONAVIRUS CONFIRMED

Estimated that 150 million Americans could1 ultimately be infected. At an estimated 1-4% fatatlity rate that could be 1.5M-6.0M dead. Currently, the average age of the fatalities from the virus is 80 years old. If you are not elderly, with health issues, the rate is more like 1%. Bill, Curious wher...
