Re: Women's Hoops 19-20

No sugar coating-- pitiful performance. I am so tired of watching players that do not know how to make layups. Most of the team drive to the basket and throw up out of control shots with no clue. Where is the coaching. Watch the opponent, most make their layups. This has been going on for several ye...

Re: QB related questions

77Hen-- so the hike over #19 head is ill advised. You must be kidding or otherwise to put the blame on the QB for that play. Really!!!

Re: Men's Hoops 19-20

Probably not, as the game has changed. If you recruit top level talent, they must get minutes and when you have a 7-9 man rotation, you can't have 11-12 scholarship players. Of course, you may have a transfer sitting out or a recruit that came knowing that he would redshirt ( Novakavich). Otherwise,...

Re: 2019 Field Hockey

So how about showing up to support this top 20 program-- this is the best field hockey played in America. I know many don't relate to the field hockey sport because are not familiar. As a grandparent of a former field hockey player, who has since chosen to play lacrosse at UNC, this sport at UD dese...

Re: WBB season ticket prices in the CAA (1 seat)

Great value for the experience and talent level. This program is on the move in the right direction!Everyone must realize that Elena is a once in a lifetime player, that is dominating the WNBA, and is the centerpiece for our next Olympic Team and World Team. We have some amazing players to watch per...

Re: 2019 Recruits

That gentleman is the byproduct of the transfer portal. Teams lose players unexpectedly, either by one and done, early out, and now the transfer option, and everyone knows publicly, so therefore, the competition begins for all those available to replace losses. Makes the idea of loyalty to a Univers...

Re: CAA transfers

In my opinion, we should not add anyone to our 19-20 roster, unless they can produce immediately as a big, and be willing to share time with others. Also, he would have to be proven and be willing to be a team player. Grad transfers do not tipically meet those criteria. Go Hens!!!

Re: Baseball 2019

Thanks HJ-- also remember a game with an extra inning no hitter involving the Pirates, I believe, maybe Harvey Haddix, who went maybe twelve and lost. The details may be off a little, but the point is the same. It's all what you are trained to do and what your body has been prepared for. Today's gam...

Re: Baseball 2019

I was a pitcher for the Fightin Blue Hens 1960-62 and most times started and finished games throwing 140-175 pitches per game. In high school, in New Jersey, I pitched seven innings every Tuesday and Friday, as our other starter broke his leg, so I had to pick up the slack. My arm and body became co...

BHTD Club Senior Banquet

Congratulations to the Blue Hen Touchdown Club for another outstanding banquet honoring our departing senior student athletes. I was impressed by the whole evening, but especially by the number of engineering graduates. Not that all academic disciplines aren't demanding, but at least in my day, 1959...
