Re: Rich Gannon on WIP 94.1 on Sun, May 10, 11:00 AM

That was awesome...just got done listening to the interview. Great to hear Ray and Glen talking with Rich about the glory days of UD Football under Tubby. Rich really has had a remarkable story and career...definitely represents the blue and gold beyond well, both on and off the field. If you haven'...

Completely agree...if '20-21 is gonna be a "special" season, we will need another big for rebounding, defense, and depth. Fingers crossed...

Re: GH Interview with Coach Rocco

Henderson was obviously the right choice in 2019. The only issue being, and as we've all seen several times now, his ability to stay healthy and on the field. I suspect given his smaller frame, that it will be critical to have a back-up who is ready and able to play. Hopefully the recruiting Rocco h...

Re: Logan Curtis

For the record, I'm not disagreeing with anything being said. I do have trust and faith in MI and his staff to evaluate talent. My only point being that in the case of transfers specifically, I would have thought we would have higher profile transfers available to select from at this point in the pr...

Re: Logan Curtis

Just my opinion, but it seems to me that MI has demonstrated that he knows at least a little bit about what he's looking for and how he wants to build a team and develop players. It may be silly of me, but I'm thinking he knows enough about what he's doing that if he thinks this kid will be an asse...

Re: Logan Curtis

Every really good program has role players that understand their roles. Five alphas fighting over who gets the ball is never good. He looks like a solid role player to me. Based on what...he barely played last year??? Again, I'm not saying he can't be a good player, it just feels like we could affo...

Re: Logan Curtis

Not about being right or wrong 90...it just seems like an odd move on paper, that's all. Hopefully he turns out to be an all conference-type player. It just feels like we would have more options for transfers at this point in the program's development, but I too will defer to MI and his staff. They ...

Re: Logan Curtis

Admittedly, I don't know anything about this kid, but I tend to agree with Tenn. I’d like to think we’ve gotten the program to a point where we don’t have to take this kind of risk. Mutts and Darling came with significantly better collegiate backgrounds, and Painter was from a national championship ...

Re: Transfer season

I noticed Bill Phillips is now following Northwestern transfer Jared Jones, 6'10 240. Sit 1, play 3. Reading that he is seeking more PT. Avg 10 mpg last year, scoring 3 pts and 2 boards per game. With Painter gone after next year, he would be looking at a great opportunity in the C position for 21/...

Re: Transfer season

On the grad transfer market...Leroy Butts from Radford has entered the portal. Started 18 games last year while averaging 4 ppg. May come with some baggage so from a chemistry fit not sure if we’d be interested. Originally committed to Rutgers, then switched to URI, then never enrolled due to a cle...

He certainly appears to have the kind of size and strength that we could use in the post.

Re: Live Construction Footage

What exactly is phase II and phase III? Not sure I know the order, but I believe the East stands and the North End Zone were to be the next 2 phases of the project. Having said that, with the "new normal" of the post COVID world, my guess is both of those projects will be delayed. I also believe th...

Re: Darling

I have to think he'll be back for his senior year…I sure hope so. I love Nate’s game, but I do think he would get eaten up by the quickness and athleticism in the NBA. Hopefully another year in college will help him develop his overall game and better prepare him for a shot at the NBA (no pun intend...
