Re: Uniform question?

It never ceases to amaze me how many want to just throw away almost 75 years of tradition to follow the new shiny things. If anything, I would like to go BACK to the traditional deeper blue and gold, rather than the bright blue and yellow. Sally the old fuddy duddy in RI This, 100x this. Bring back...

Re: Poll: In-Game Stadium Experience

Sitting here watching the Conference USA Championship game and what's to come for UD in the future and boy the marching band is playing non-stop during the game. I hope UD is paying attention to what the next level needs to feel and sound like in Newark on gamedays. They need to take the handcuffs o...

Re: Poll: In-Game Stadium Experience

I goto a lot of college football games and I can tell you it IS the norm nowadays that there is more piped in music or in-stadium DJ’s. Football stadium atmospheres are more club-like atmospheres now versus the traditional bands playing from the stands. It’s not like bands don’t play, they certainl...

Re: Game Thread: Elon

It seemed like both teams were doing that. A lot of people yelling "face guarding" in the stands, but that's legal in NCAA. I honestly don't know if finding the ball is a point of emphasis anymore. I was more concerned with the safety play. The one TD by the Bob, #0/MLB ran with him the en...

Re: Game Thread: Elon

Giving up three long passes for TDs was very frustrating. And to a journeyman quarterback. The safety play was suspect at best. The Elon QB and WR's made some nice plays and catches, credit where credit is due. His long balls were well placed, not too much air like Delaware's. Seemed like they were...

Re: Poll: In-Game Stadium Experience
Part of the reason the band doesn’t play as much is because they were told to do so. So yeah blame Some powers that be they rather have piped in BS they also told them they can’t do the under the stands anymore so yeah poo poo on tradition not the directors fault.
Well that's a sha...

Re: Poll: In-Game Stadium Experience

Just getting in from the Elon game, my first of the year. The experience is still a mess. Aside from how the game ended and the gameplan of just throwing deep 90% of the time when it wasn't working and the defense giving up every 3rd and long, whoever is in charge of the music and gameday experience...

Re: Poll: In-Game Stadium Experience

Chrissi's Response: Thanks for sharing your feedback. We are trying to have all the audiences at our game have fun; including our students, season ticket holders and our football team. I understand we may not always get the balance right from your perspective, but we have also got great feedback on...

Re: Poll: In-Game Stadium Experience

There's one demographic not being considered here - my kids and their friends absolutely love the game experience. It gets them up from the seat, dancing and excited to go back every week. That's great and awesome they want to come back. We need young UD fans. Here's the thing though... I'd bet the...

Re: Poll: In-Game Stadium Experience

There's way too much piped in music - I appreciate the effort to make things timely, but there's always way too much attention to it. I know they tried to get in Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville since he passed recently, but getting it in off and on between plays on an offensive possession just seems ...

Re: Poll: In-Game Stadium Experience

I posted about this after a game last year and bummed to hear that it hasn't improved at all. I LOVE the atmosphere and fanfare that makes college football so unique. The atmosphere of a college football game is almost as important as the product on the field. Knowing when to pipe in music vs. havin...
