Re: FCS Quarterbacks

I honestly wouldn’t trade our Henderson/Knight for any QB/RB combo in the FCS. I thought last year the staff did a poor job of realizing how good they were. I’m still stunned they started Kehoe over him and the only thing in the FCS that could stop Will Knight from rushing for a 1,000 is our progra...

Re: Black Uniforms?

Hey guys, I am not forcing any one to agree with my opinion. We all have opinions... That's the fun of this site. I enjoy the diversity. And I don't mind being in the minority, or for that matter the only one with my opinion. It's all good. I guess I am old. I just like turning on a college football...

Great pictures Henny. Have you seen any signs going up? Whitney Center, University of Delaware, HENS, North Gate, South Gate. Thank you.

Re: Black Uniforms?

So many teams are wearing so many different colors. IMO, it's just a fad. I can't wait for traditional uniforms to become the new in thing. I like tradition. But really, if different color uniforms make the team play better than I am all for it. However, I don't think it makes one iota of difference...

Re: Black Uniforms?

Our present helmet is a yellow shell with the blue painted on. I have one. That is unless they changed it within the last 3 years. That is why when the blue paint is scratched off the scars are yellow. When Keeler first made the color change both the blue and the gold (gold being slightly different)...

Re: Live Construction Footage

I hope they end up with TV cameras in the east stands to show off the 60 million dollar west stands and press box.

Re: Nick Boyle

NBC showed the replay once briefly, and cut to commercial right after Boyle went down. Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson found Boyle for a short completion up the middle of the field midway through the third quarter of Baltimore’s 23-17 loss to the Patriots on Sunday night at Gillette Stadium. As Boy...

Re: Trivia re sacks

Most of Quigg's sacks came when he lined up as a RDE. He did not disguise his sacks by easing up from the saftey position. On the program he was a saftey but he got most of his sacks when he switched to LB and actually lined up at RDE. When I saw him there he is the only player I watched because he ...

Re: Construction Update

Still waiting for the signs. Whitney Athletic Center as you drive up and the HENS in the center of the South Concrete area. There were at least 40 workers on the job today. Still carrying in lots of boxes.

I think Tubby's second year (1967) was 2-7.
Yes and about midway into the 1967 season Tubby was replacing many letterman with sophomores. Remember, these sophomores played on the freshman team the year before.

Re: THIS IS NOT A POLITICAL SITE's season on UD's freshman team

I remember my first day of freshman practice. The freshman wore high top cleats regardless of position. We loosened up and then scrimmaged the varsity. We didn't even know each other. That was in 1967 and, IMO, the freshman outplayed the varsity that day. The varsity had been practicing for a couple...
