Re: Black Uniforms?

Its late Saturday afternoon and Oregon is hosting UCLA. Check out the Ducks Unis. Black, Green, lime green. Wild. I don't even know what Oregon's standard/traditional uniform is/was, assuming they have one anymore. They have no identity. All of the teams using all black uniforms are almost indistin...

Re: Nate Darling

A 2 way contract indicates to me he may not be in Charlotte for the opener. Likely not but he’s got his shot now. $7,000 a month G league / $35,000 total $150,000 a month NBA / $900,000 total The Hornets can use him for 45 days in the NBA at the G league salary IMO at some point he’ll be overseas.

Re: UD Budget

Diana Woodring in the Athletics Development office was one of the people let go. She got a lot done in that office and had a lot of institutional knowledge that is hard to replace when people are coming and going every few years. Did Barbara Fleming get let go, too, or did she retire on her own? Ba...

Re: couldn't resist

The chances for the spring season are dwindling everyday. Everyone has kinda been preoccupied the last few days, but the virus is raging across much of the country, including starting to around here again. The virus isn’t quite at WWII levels in number of deaths but the country is at 240,000 now an...

Re: couldn't resist

I'd say the chances for college football this spring are taking a huge positive step forward this morning. Thank you Pfizer - keep it up! Yes, that news of a 90% Efficacy is HUGE. Come spring it won’t be available to many of us come spring but combined with masks, social distancing and a effective ...

Re: THIS IS NOT A POLITICAL SITE's season on UD's freshman team

I remember it was the fall of 1972 that freshman became edible to play on varsity teams in Division I ... does anyone recall if Division II made that same move at the same time? If so, UD did indeed wait a long time.

Re: UD Budget

Scott has done a fantastic job for us, and this is very disappointing. It clearly has nothing to do with his performance, but is rather a view at just how bad things are financially in the UDAD and UD generally. Scott, you will land on your feet running! Of that I am confident! Yes sir! A great fri...

Re: Spring Season?

Towson had huge budget issues prior to COVID and had already been making deep athletic cuts and they can only be worse now. They are the one CAA school I could see discussing the dropping of football. I perused Towson’s board for potential thoughts on this subject and didn’t come across any referen...

Re: 2020 MLB and Phillies thread

C, I didn't exactly go out on a limb but I think the Dodgers have been the best overall team for a few years and Mookie Betts put them over the hump. I thought it was going to go 7 games. Tampa Bays Cash Pulling a dominant Snell after 73 pitches was puzzling. Pulling Snell is a classic case of coac...

Re: Schedule

Personally, I’d add a OOC cupcake to start the season and keep the bye week a bye week. A 2nd OCC game means nothing to winning the conference and with only 16 teams in the playoffs no more than JMU and the north winner will be in the playoffs anyway. A 2nd OOC game means nothing. Why get someone h...

Re: Schedule

A Delaware State game would have to be played Sat, April 10th. The Hornet's have games scheduled Feb 20th and 27th. I stand by my opinion posted above ... a Feb 27th cupcake game and that's it. Or 2 cupcake games; Feb 20th and Feb 27th. That game or those games serve a purpose; getting ready for the...
