Re: Hens Offseason
Painter had 23 points in 25 games when he transferred to UD. Collin Goss had 22 points in 31 games when transferred to UD. Carl Baptiste has 83 points in 48 games when he transferred to UD. Two of the 3 won a CAA tournament championship and played in March Madness. Bigs that are perceived as unprodu...

Re: CUSA - October Schedule
A couple of mid-week home games in October = EQUALS $1.8 million directly to UD from the newly negotiated CFP fund. Roughly $800k from the CUSA media deal. Roughly 600k eyeballs watching if that October game is carried on a ESPN broadcast channel, and I believe all are. No FloSports. Need I continue...

Re: I’m awake - UD to CUSA
Have also been told that the Missouri State addition (90%+ probable) coming in May is somewhat related to WKU remaining. Can give more detail once that occurs. I will note, however, that even Matt Brown reported that CUSA/member officials were not going to add anyone Until they had assurances about...

Re: Transfer Portal Open
NFL Draft complete- 3 chosen from CUSA- I understand the difference between FCS and FBS scholarship levels- Opinions on if we will see a measurable difference in actual talent in CUSA? 12 FCS players drafted, including 3 from SDSU. Impressive! If you are good they will find you. The issue for G5 an...

Re: Group of Five Playoff?
What conferences look like today and what they may look like by the time the 25-26 school year rolls around have the potential to look very, very different. Already it looks like another active summer at the P4 level. Some think the ACC will go the way of the PAC12 and soon.

Re: Transfer Portal Open
Power schools with strong alumni bases will remain power schools. We will seen new names added however, now that powerful alumni can legally channel corporate money into NIL. Think Arkansas with Wal-Mart, Tyson Foods and Jerry Jones money flowing freely to players now. Calapari knows exactly what he...

Re: The state of college basketball
March Madness was once the goose that layed the golden egg. The portal, nba one-n-dones, and the continued freezing out of mid-majors in favor of 9th place P5 teams, have all beaten the goose to a pulp. Greed kills.

Re: College Basketball Coaches
I don’t know why anyone would want to coach Kentucky men’s basketball. They have the most entitled fan base and donors.
And I agree with Pat, Dawn Staley will be successfully coaching men somewhere. But I wouldn’t wish the Kentucky job on anyone.

Re: Interview With President Assanis
The “enrollment cliff” is real and it’s a concern for a huge segment of the higher education community as a whole. Reuters and the WSJ have both covered the issue. UD is dependent on New Jersey, the Mid-Atlantic and to a lesser extent the Northeast. A “enrollment cliff” combined with the migration t...

You are going to have to explain why a student from Texas or Tennessee would have more limited financial aid, than the students from New Jersey currently do.BlueHenBill wrote: ↑Sun Apr 07, 2024 3:09 pm How many students from outside UD's region are going to want to come to UD and pay out-of-state tuition with limited financial aid?

Lance Ware 6-9 235 spent 3 years at Kentucky and last year at Villanova. Only averaged 9.6 mpg over 4 years but has played in a lot of games. Probably wishful thinking on my part but he would no doubt play more than 10 mpg at UD. Does UD have the NIL money that would be necessary for this kind of m...
