Re: Ya gotta be old to remember this game - video

Masons fumble was in the 1971 game at home where we lost 32-27. He didn't fumble at all on 45 hard carries in '72 up at old Temple stadium, a 28-9 win. You are indeed correct. My memory failed me. Almost 50 years and I can still see the image of that play in my mind but can't get the year right. I ...

Re: Ya gotta be old to remember this game - video

Okay I remember Mike Sianni and John Bush at Delaware stadium in 1971 for a big win at Delaware Stadium. 1972 I remember the Roger Mason fumble as he was headed to the north end zone. I remember following the 1972 Nova game on AM radio at my aunt and uncle's house in Oaklands (Newark) tense as could...

Re: When will College Football resume? Links and references.

To be honest I have not been following the state of Delaware as far as the pandemic and the status of beaches. However if beaches open in Delaware and there is the same attitude toward public health measures, I can see this impacting UD and UD football in the fall. Here's what's happening at the Sou...

Re: Live Construction Footage

BlueHenBobby, You won't attend even if if fan numbers are restricted, seat locations are adjusted to maintain social distancing (and maybe entrance to the Stadium is by time/gate appointment), and face masks are required? The only other potential problems that I see (and they also can be surmounted...

Re: Live Construction Footage

Update from BOT agenda: an update on the Whitney Athletic Center. The project experienced some delays, primarily due to delays in receiving materials that were located in other states where operations had been shuttered. The project timeline has been extended as a result, and the timeline is set to...

Re: NJ Article on Spending

A very good article. Thanks for the post. With UD (and colleges across the country) struggling with how to re-open and the financial impact of the pandemic on them, it is no surprise that athletics finances are under scrutiny. With increased spending on UD's part it's also no surprise that the perfo...

Re: When will College Football resume? Links and references.

Well, let’s avoid the political commentary. On a positive note, some of this, in large part due to financial Constraints, will force some geographic realignments. Some of the conference makeups became flat out silly and maybe this will help create or reawaken local Rivalries. I like the idea of geo...

Re: When will College Football resume? Links and references.

This does not bode well for the resumption of football this fall at any level. https://www.nfl.com/news/2020-hall-of-fame-game-cancelled-enshrinement-postponed As far as the NFL goes, they should cancel the entire season. Why unless compelled to by an untenable covid-10 situation? The NFL makes big...

Re: Live Construction Footage

Maybe it is just parallax but looks like the gap between the press box and the back of the stadium is pretty wide. Wonder if they are planning on filling that gap? How far above the back row are the windows on the press box? Probably just parallax again but they appearance is that the box windows ar...

You guys are getting way off topic. Please don't turn this topic into another Hen Droppings. Stay on topic. Now riots, looting, destroying US cities, George Fox, etc. is taking over the Top 25 topic. STAY ON TOPIC. At this time it's impossible to separate the two. My post raises issues related to t...

Re: HeroSports Top 25

I'm still betting that there won't be a season this year so that makes Rocco's status interesting. What would UD do for 2021if they don't play? If they do play, dark horse would be a really apt description of Delaware. After last year, how did someone pick them for #15 (Hero Sports)? I do think the ...

Re: Transfer

Interesting ripple effect of the virus- the impact of a transfer having sit out the season is essentially nullified, a head coach hanging by a thread looks like he'll get 2021 and maybe a year or two after that, uncertainty about the next phases of upgrades. I'm betting no college football this year...
