Re: Poll (Nuance Aplenty): Did the 2023 season represent progress?
I remain very optimistic for the programs future. We were able to keep pace with last years progress with a significantly new roster and exciting to watch in the those games we should have won. BUT, totally frustrating to watch in the games we NEEDED to win to show real progress from last year. The ...

Re: Scouting Thread: Montana Griz
I haven’t been to any games at Griz stadium but have attended quite a few Nov night games at Air Force Academy. Even on “nice” days, when the sun goes down at 6,000 ft it gets a little chilly. Add in some wind and you start hugging your neighbor to stay warm! What’s the altitude in Missoula?

Re: Delaware to Conference USA?
I love Delaware & the Hens as much as anyone on this board, but I cringe every time someone posts a blatantly elitist comment about the school’s academics or our football program. We’re not that good folks. My Army career took me all over the globe and I can attest that most of the country doesn...

Re: Remaining Eligibility
We, including myself, have verbally beat the OL position group up pretty good the past few years. Really nice to finally see significant progress and be able to throw some praise their way. Deservedly so. I know they have worked their butts off to get to this point. Good line coaching helps tremendo...

Re: Dan's 3 & Out--Duquesne
Besides lack of pressure with only rushing 3, our 3-2-6 alignment has always shown problems sealing the edge against good running backs. They often get 5-7 yards upfield before any real contact. Also mobile QBs have posed problems getting loose for good yardage. Against the Dukes we were able to adj...

Re: Game Thread: Duquense
In watching the past couple games on Flo sports, it appears on my screen that the Hens’ helmets are back to the old darker blue color. Is that fact or just bad color on the Flo broadcast?

Re: Future Blue Hens Star
Not a youngster as a senior, but I’ve been impressed with Christian Pierce on the Defensive side and Yarns has been sensational so far; give him more touches to make opposing team respect the run and slow down the pass rush. Bermudez & Kelly show promise for future but we haven’t seen that much ...

Re: FBI PSU (minus the "F")
Rich - thank you for all your valued contributions to our BH forum. Your observations are always well thought out, clear, concise, and positive. It takes much time and effort on your part and it is well received and appreciated. Penn State is now in the rear view mirror, it can be a positive IF the ...

Re: Defensive Scheme
Absolutely agree. My biggest disappointment with the teams of the last decade + has been their inability to get better over the course of the season. Just the opposite, the trend was to start out like gang busters only to fall apart the last 4-5 games. Even last year with all the 5-6 year veterans. ...

Re: Season Predictions
With so many unknowns at this point, 8-3 sounds good but way too many unknowns until first game is played. On paper, the talent on the roster appears good but it takes time for a team to gel. I personally don’t think the offense will miss Henderson as much as Caribe states simply because last years ...

Re: CAA Transfer Portal
What’s with the food fight? Geez, you would think it was a GOOD thing that we all support the same team and would be rowing in the same direction in that support. I think right now is an exciting time to be a Blue Hen fan with all the new faces & perceived talent on-board & incoming. Fun to ...

Re: Transcript from GoHens portion of Monday's Zoom call with Coach Carty
I couldn’t agree more, common sense and a little patience go a long way. I like what I’m seeing on reaching higher for recruits, even if many are beyond our reach because they want to play at the FBS level out of HS. RC has sold some solid recruits on his vision and the transfers look good as well. ...

Re: Guys in the Portal
It’s the Wild West out there. Everyone arm up and be ready. Blue Chips gravitate to the winners. I’m certain that Coach Rocco and his crew were scouting DII top performers to suit up as Blue Hens. I was actually wondering, what types of OL transfers are we looking for? Does a FCS coach pursue other...

Re: Guys in the Portal
I saw an interesting article in the paper this morning; could boost recruiting and/or keep players out of the portal. A “non-profit group” in Austin, TX have funded a new program (under the guise of paying players for using their image, etc.) that will pay every UT O-Lineman on scholarship $50K per ...
