Re: Chrissi Rawak named AD of the Year

Congrats to the AD boss lady, well deserved for all the infrastructure improvement and bolder vision for UD athletics. The WAC and FBS move are major accomplishments that UD never pursued until she arrived. She has done mostly everything right except bring in coaches that can win at the equivalent ...

Re: Chrissi Rawak named AD of the Year

She deserves the credit for moving UD into the 21st century. Hard to imagine anyone having an issue with her receiving such an award. It took a lot of confidence, energy, research, coordination, relationship building and salesmanship (and more) to start our transition, and it will take a lot more t...

There’s the spirit!
Might not be “the spirit”, but is “a fact”.

Last time I heard, there are 5 female AD’s in the power 5. She will be the next, it's only a matter of time 👀

Definitely worth mining the lower divisions for talent.
Surprised to see he gets another year! Glad to read he's getting an MBA.

Re: Jyare Davis to the Portal

Why cant Martin keep any talent in Newark? Come on man! Take a look at college basketball. It's tough to fault Davis considering his graduation and probable move to a Power 5 school, where he'll likely receive a substantial NIL deal. Have you contributed to the Blue Hen collective to help pay Delaw...

Re: Jyare Davis to the Portal

I would have been surprised, if Davis didn't leave since he was planning to graduate. Is UD required to pay for credits & tutors after the end of this semester? I would imagine they could cut off access to the facilities & trainers, if they so wished. That said, if a player doesn't contribut...

More playing time at UD?
Does he have to sit a year under the “new rules”?

Re: Spring Game Info - April 19

In the past, when I went to a practice, my main interest was in talking with the more knowledgeable fans that were there. Currently, if we are not wanted, I am not interested. Looking forward to the Fall, of course, when all will be revealed. Until then, I would rather spend time at the softball di...

Preach…

Players think (could be right, it could be wrong) they owe nothing to coaches, programs & universities anymore!

Why should it be a one-way street? If players can bail, coaches should be able to do the same!

Re: CAA Tournament, Quarterfinal: Hofstra

If you want to kill HS recruiting, tell mom & dad their son’s scholarship is only conditional, based on his on court performance, playing time or health. If a HS recruit takes care of his business in the classroom, in the locker room (team rules) and reps UD positively in the community, he leav...

Re: CAA Tournament, Quarterfinal: Hofstra

I agree…KT does a nice job. He’s in a tough spot essentially being the only reporter covering UD sports on a regular basis. Trying to balance getting access to coaches and administrators while attempting to maintain some level of objectivity can’t be easy. Hopefully Chrissi lays out very clear obje...
