Re: Spring Game Info - April 19

Fans could show up and watch whenever they wanted back then. Tub didn't care. The good old days I like Ryan, but I do think it’s policy is a little strange and a little off-putting. The good old days, when everyone wasn't carrying around a hi def video camera in their pocket. We don't have to like ...

Re: Women's Lacrosse

The Hens remain on a roll. Yesterday they beat Wagner 17-6 to finish their non-conference part of the schedule 7-1.
On to the CAA!

Re: Women's Lacrosse

The women are now 6-1 after beating Lafayette yesterday 13-3. In addition to a prolific attack, I have seen smothering defense and aggressive goalkeeping. The goalkeeping is not a surprise as our coach, Amy Altig, has coached gks for the U.S. national team.

Re: Spring Game Info - April 19

After a little brief research, I found that Penn State and Michigan both hold just one open practice for fans. Both are in August. Penn State allows no cameras, photography or video. For what it is worth.

Women's Lacrosse

The women trounced Kent State yesterday, 18-4. Twelve different Hens scored. They are ow 4-1 on the season, undefeated at home. Their lone loss was against Temple. They are fun to watch! GO HENS!

Re: Home and Home Set with UCONN

Back to UConn here. This is a pretty amusing commentary from their standpoint, about scheduling UD. Not sure who their former player is, but he hates us! LOL listen from the 35:44 mark. https://open.spotify.com/episode/25ppZuUun8z4kXN2ZIOuOI?si=fDkTpRBJQZm499AA14q17g&nd=1&dlsi=4ebeb900e8854...

Brittney Griner’s number was retired by Baylor on Saturday. When will Elena’s #11 be raised to the rafters?

No, it's a Husky named Jonathan! (Saw him Friday night.) And the campus is still in the middle of nowhere. Their stadium is close to Hartford.

Re: News on Conference Membership?

Any news or rumors on a conference for the lacrosse team? Should we expect anything or it will it necessarily come after the season? I imagine the team could continue with the CAA but I hope not - it’s too sporadic weak and has never gotten much respect at playoff selection time. Maybe the Hens can...

Now, Veach, Nagy and Bleymaier need to be in Kelce's ear to get his girlfriend to support her dad's alma mater with a few $$$ to finish off the stadium, et al. :D 8)

Re: women NCA&T now

I watched the entire second half (after watching Iowa vs. Ohio State). It was truly terrible basketball! I lost count of the turnovers. I am going to sound every one of my 71 years right now.... It wasn't just the basketball. They looked awful. Mismatched shoes. rolled up shorts...I saw no pride in ...

Re: 2024 Schedule

2 bye weeks? I have to believe that with with with two bye weeks and this year being a 12 game schedule year, that we are still searching for a fbs school to play. Maybe but 1) most if not all schools have their dates filled way in advance 2) why would they announce our schedule yesterday if it was...

I really like these unis, too. Classic, By the way, white isn’t one of our colors, so blue over white doesn’t work for me.

Re: Uniform question?

It never ceases to amaze me how many want to just throw away almost 75 years of tradition to follow the new shiny things. If anything, I would like to go BACK to the traditional deeper blue and gold, rather than the bright blue and yellow.
