Re: UD Fall Practice and Spring Season 2021

Although permitted, the extra 2 "non-conference" games will be tough to schedule. Because this is a shortened season, you won't get the benefit of a home and home game and you're likely not paying anything to bring someone here. With everyone bleeding money, getting someone to agree to a road game a...

Re: Live Construction Footage

This is not a complaint post because as with most fans, I'm ecstatic with the transformation of Delaware Stadium but I also realize that the current financial climate will likely delay any additional upgrades until the quite distant future. My question is if anyone knows any plans or timeframe for a...

Re: When will College Football resume? Links and references.

Those schools still hoping for a full fall season are quickly approaching the tipping point. With so many conferences cancelling and power 5's going to conference only schedules, filling out a season would require a ton of travel just to find games. Full FCS cancellation or 8-10 game schedules are t...

Re: When will College Football resume? Links and references.

Delaware travelers now must quarantine for 14 days if visiting NY, NJ, CT. These restrictions come and go but sure makes home or away games vs any schools from those states impossible. I wish I had a crystal ball because time is getting short and I still have no idea what's in store this fall. My WA...

Re: CAA Football APR's

I didn't see a FCS average for football but the average FBS score for football is 968. I'm guessing that FCS averages are at least in the ballpark of FBS. 930 is the sanction zone so Delaware is below average but safely above the risk of sanctions.

Re: 2020 Season FB Start Times?

With full stadium lights again, I would expect a return to 3:30 start times for most home games. Maybe 1 true night game (LIU maybe?) and who knows with TV. Coach Rocco is very keen on routines and he feels that the later afternoon start times are ideal. As for olympic sports, something has to give ...

Re: Weber State Sacks

It starts with not lining up 2 yards off the ball. I'm sure someone mentioned throughout the year but I thought I was the only one that noticed. Delaware lines up farther away from the ball than any team I've ever seen at any level. They're a yard to a yard and a half away at times. Even if someone...

With the Del St. game on the 12th, I wonder if they'll open with a conference game 3 years in a row.

Re: Live Construction Footage

Although largely ceremonial, when Duke started renovations on their stadium a few years ago there were bulldozers with DUKE painted on the blades in a field outside the stadium and right after the last game ended they started moving dirt (playing surface was lowered 3 feet to remove the track and pu...

Re: Live Construction Footage

I have huge concerns about the stadium being ready on time but it doesn't look like EDIS is concerned yet. I'm certain that UD would've included steep liquidated damages in the contract but the job is still only a 5-day per week operation. Excluding this weekend because of graduation, the easiest wa...
