Re: Loudest Moments- UD Stadium

I really loved the Northern Iowa game alot as well that season. The Snow on the field, the cold/ice, delaying the game 40 minutes, drinking some schnapps and some of us fans volunteering to help shovel and clean areas. Then we really kicked some Azz 37-7 against a very good team.

Not sure if anyone remembers but Bill Fleming and Bud Wilkinson did the TV Telecast.
You have a memory that is like a steel trap. Those were two memorable announcers that I can still hear.
Thanks Russ, but don't ask me where I left my keys or what my wife told me to do an hour ago!

Ben Davis accused the Phillies of "Quitting' yesterday in the Post Game show. As a former poster used to say, "SLOP".

Re: More Trivia- 9/14

35-7 at half. That 1971 team was one of the best ever in my opinion. The only loss was 32-27 to a really good Temple team in a game we outplayed them and were going in for the winning score late and the RB fumbled inside the 10.

Re: Loudest Moments- UD Stadium

Loved the 2003 Wofford game. Mounted officers guarding the goal posts in front of the student section. Students merely emptied onto the field and ran to the north end zone to pull down the goal posts 😂. Fans stayed in the stands to watch. No too many of those end of the third quarter I have to beat...

More Trivia- 9/14

The Boardwalk Bowls were always a source of fun for UD Fans with us winning in 1968, 1969, 1970 and 1971. We were invited in 1972 after going undefeated but the team voted not to go to the game. A couple of related questions from that 5 year period: 1) The Blue Hens beat CW Post & Gary Wichard in th...
