Re: Kyre Hawkins
"Might be hard to get a DL commitment without a DL coach. Hopefully that's in the works." Atilla's post was rightfully concerning about the situation 10 days ago. Not sure why my concern over the inexperienced hire would be any different.

Kyre Hawkins
Looks like a great guy but certainly lacks real experience as a DL coach. Was hoping to land someone with a successful record as a position coach in the FCS or preferably the FBS.
Re: Drexel
I'll double down on that rooney. His earlier success has led to more defensive attention then he can handle.

Re: Future JMU Series
There is really nothing to debate about the series. Forever was kind enough to supply the numbers but he left out the first 12 games because THAT coach went 8-4 and set a tough pace to maintain. And we didn't ! It's kind of like the Villanova situation. Two different special rivalries that we can't ...

Re: Future JMU Series
What's odd is that it bothered you initially and you immediately responded . The only point I, and often others was trying to make was that people often see the Hens in an entirely different light then the inner circle on here does. Moving to FBS is a proud day for many of our fans and I'm included ...

Re: Future JMU Series
Some of you are as happy as the day you got your first 2 wheeler. I'm on your side guys for the move but you have been reminded before that there are other consumers out there and unfortunately I guess I'm the only one that runs into guys at a bar googling JMU when the discussion turns toward the ne...

Re: Future JMU Series
I am very pleased with the JMU series but it's not easy responding to naysayers who bring up the fact that the last 3 coaches do not have a winning record against the Dukes. College Game Day in Newark? What the heck, enjoy the fantasy .

Re: 2024 Schedule
We have an 11 game schedule, with 7 home games and it is a traditional FCS schedule most transitioning FCS schools play. Sammy only managed 9 games, 4 at home and no home games in the month of October, their first transition years, so Chrissi/Jordan/Jerry O did a decent job IMO. Comparisons to JMU ...

Re: 2024 Schedule
A probably unavoidable weak experience for our final season in FCS. Those that already sneeze blue & gold confetti will rush to get their tickets on line this afternoon and the rest of the world will shrug their shoulders and go about their business. I really don't think we could expect anything...

It's all about winning
Andy Walter 1/7/24 ...."Sooner or later, though, the Hens will have to prove they can win consistently at the FBS level if people are going to keep being interested in Delaware football. The cautionary tale has always been Massachusetts. A former conference mate of the Hens, which also won a I-...
Re: Hofstra
Glad the Hens play women's sports or they would never have any CAA championships.

Re: 2024 Schedule
Mr Bobby- If you move forward with that attitude I think you're well versed to handle the football future. GoHens is not the best place to discuss the move. I'm 100% for it but if you are questioning exactly what it will be like then the window dressing you get on here does not change what's really ...

Re: I’m awake - UD to CUSA
"The most interesting part of the move up will be how it affects attendance and overall interest. After an initial bump, I’m skeptical." Most of us are excited also but also skeptical CH and YOU can get away with a realistic comment like that while I'm accused of old, tired bashing of the ...

Re: I’m awake - UD to CUSA
Attendance was down 1200 this season. It's all about winning no matter how long or how often you want to talk about it. People don't even know what town Sam Houston is in and nobody comes to see them play ever so scratch that example off the discussion table please . Conference peer JMU showed how t...

Re: I’m awake - UD to CUSA
Ditto rooney, I haven't spoken to anyone who isn't for the move but the transition may be be a real bummer . Sounds like a broken record but we haven't proven we can beat the better CAA teams lately let alone make the next step up in a timely fashion. I believe the Hens will now have one of the smal...
