Re: Spring Season?

I Gave him a pass? How did you get that out of my practice and Lunch comment? Don't let your obvious disdain for one poster affect your comments on others. Like I said I want as many fans as possible in the seats. Hopefully that's clear enough. Hey, when you jump into an argument between me and him...

Re: Spring Season?

Mr GF I made no such comment about fans staying home. In fact I will be one of the people going to the games. I would like to see as many fan as possible at the games this coming season. My comment was about guys that seem to want to criticize people that go to Practices. That doesn't make us the i...

Great Game 7 last night - baseball is a different game though nowadays as starting pitching seems to be in short supply.
Not just the pitching, the hitting has morphed as well. Everyone swinging for the fences and launch angles. It's HR's or bust. Often bust.

Re: Spring Season?

I guess most schools playing football now are taking the “conservative approach” when they don’t allow tailgating? In one way a place like Mississippi is “conservative” but surely not when it comes to public health and there is no tailgating allowed. A lot will depend on time table and effectivenes...

Re: Spring Season?

Hitting closer to home, Towson announced this morning they are opting out of playing football this season, probably one of the reasons why there is no CAA spring FB schedule out yet..... https://www.wbaltv.com/article/towson-university-says-no-to-playing-intercollegiate-football-in-the-spring/34414...

Re: Spring Season?

I don't understand the regular "slaps" at guys that take the time to go to Practice or TD Club Lunches on this Board. Why is that something to be made fun of or ridiculed especially when many that do go to these, offer their observations and thoughts and then have those criticized. Total BS. Hey, b...

Flacco reminding me of a fighter who was at the big time and now struggling on the under card. Why Joe?
It's hard to turn down the paycheck when it has that many zeroes on it.

Re: Spring Season?

Will probably lose some fans in spring if no tailgating allowed Given the declining number of fans just in general over the past 10 years, and then assuming that COVID makes that even worse, there should be plenty of space to socially distance tailgating in the Spring, and the University should exh...

Re: Live Construction Footage

I like that photo at ground level looking straight on the new building and stadium behind, it's a nice perspective you don't get from the eye in the sky cameras we've been seeing all during construction. OK, then here’s another. Yup, that's a great vantage point. That will look real nice on a night...

Re: UD Budget

The dramatic upheaval in college and university education is not because of the Corona Virus but has been brewing for a long time. Corona has simply exposed it for what it is. Those interested in how we arrived at this point should read: "The End of College" by Kevin Carey, Riverhead Books, 2015 (s...

Re: Spring Season?

I guess I can't help myself, 2X the ticket price and you think that stadium will be at 50% capacity. Even with no Covid and regular tix prices, 50% full stadium was beginning to be an issue. I was at 2 games last one was barely half full and the other when playoffs were out was much less. It's a gr...
