Re: UD Budget

wow - that's huge that six schools would merge into two.... Somehow they'd keep all their facilities, so the schools wouldn't go away, they would just share faculty and administration. But given how far apart those schools are, you have to think this is just step 1 and step 2 would be to get rid of...

Re: College Football TV Schedule and Game Discussion

Nick Saban & Alabama AD tested positive. Is Saban important enough to receive Regeneron? Like the POTUS? Therapeutics are getting pretty good, we're far ahead of where we were 6 months ago in that arena. I'm sure it would be contentious in Alabama - half the state would want to pull out all the mea...

a few more pictures. I'm a little confused by the wall under the stadium.

At some point isn't there a crossover or bridge to get from the stadium into the new building? Looks like that could be one of them.

Re: Most Iconic Numbers in UD History 20 - 29

I have Mike Adams (24) coming to mind first but also thinking of Sidney Haughabrook (27), Cuff (28), George Schmitt (26) and Kenny Bailey (20). One of my personal favorite players was also in the cluster of numbers.....Lanue Johnson (29). All great choices. What was Craig Cummings number? #22? if s...

Gannon is the no-brainer, but I loved me some #14 Billy V during my time at UD.
Agreed - Gannon is just a legend on a whole different level, but Vergantino was such a great QB to watch as well. I miss watching a well-run Wing T offense.

Re: UD Budget

You're gonna need more than 90M for that wish list!!! Nah....the building in the end zone would most likely be the most expensive proposition. The parking deck is a pipe dream. I'm guessing that they do the track removal in conjunction with a new soccer field. They probably end up throwing a...

#2 is Kirk Ferentz - now at Iowa, but he had a small stint at Maine back in the '90's when we had Vergantino at QB.

Re: College Football TV Schedule and Game Discussion

NDSU QB Trey Lance has left school and is entering the NFL draft. He's a guaranteed first round pick (and likely a high first round pick - might be the second QB off the board) and NDSU isn't playing any more games until the spring season. He'll be months into his transition to being an NFL QB by t...

Re: W&M's AD Resigns - Fan Reactions

The thing I don't get is that the AD doesn't make the decision to cut 7 sports in a vacuum - that's an institutional decision and pretty much everyone in the "management" level of that college/university would be involved in that decision. The AD's the sacrificial lamb there IMO.

Re: The Future of the CAA

Just to be clear - nobody in the CAA is talking about "moving up" or spending anymore $$ in football or athletics in general. UD & the majority of the CAA schools are looking at every option there is to cutting costs & are doing so already & will continue into the future for some time. The discussi...
