Re: UD Financial Issues
Ya, it doesn’t sound like a good time to get a match on the NEZ project like the university did with the WAC. I think it was $25 Million.

Re: Joe Flacco - NFL Comeback Player of the Year
If Joe could be persuaded to kick in a big check to the stadium, why not name it Joe Flacco Stadium and score 2 birds with one stone? For instance announcements like" UD opens it's season in Joe Flacco stadium against NAME opponent like JMU" or........ sounds good to me! Have Joe appear b...

Re: Memory - UD vs JMU
When I called down there for my Seven tickets, I gave them my name and it was the same last name as the JMU QB. Tickets were tough so when the Ticket guy asked if I was related to the QB I said "yes, I'm his Uncle John!!". We got 7 great seats on the 40 but we were in the JMU section. Wel...

These promos must be a big hit. We were at the Towson game and there were a lot of kids there as well! Not a bad strategy to develop the future fan base.

Congrats to Info and the Banquet Committee on a great event! I happened to speak with our AD before the event and her enthusiasm for UD Athletics is off the charts! We're very lucky to have her.

Re: Stadium Expansion & New Football Facility
So how many seats does Delaware Stadium need moving into the FBS era? I would like to see a Pavilion like NEZ that would give new fans and students a good reason not to take the easy way out of attending games. Maybe 6 floors high and right on top of the action, make it intimate with capacity at ab...

Re: 2024 Schedule
Oh, one other thing that might help with student attendance...UD is looking into building a bike/pedestrian bridge over the RR tracks from Academy to the farm. Seems like a small thing, but students on East Campus (mostly freshmen...the ones you want to instill with excitement), and in the surround...

Re: 2024 Schedule
Speaking of schedules and other things related to UD football, The Stone Balloon Ale House on Main Street has closed its doors. Frankly, I thought that for a while they had a pretty decent upscale pub menu and some fun, creative food/drink specials. It was a great atmosphere...they had the na...

Hey CH. What are you trying to learn? I’m trying to learn how to beat Henny in the pick em games and simple intuition, tarot cards and astrology has proven to be just not good enough. Fearing Henny is a mathematical wizard, I have been working on probabilities, standard deviations and outcomes basi...

Re: 2024 Schedule
I will never believe that the NCAA will do what makes sense in the short term, but eventually Chip Kelly has nailed where college football will end up. I might not live to see it, but IMO the NCAA will have to end up here. https://www.espn.com/video/clip/_/id/39132310 Wow Chip making alot of sense ...

Re: It's all about winning
UMass did a low budget move up. They made a lot of self-admitted mistakes that their program is still paying for. OTOH, JMU had the infrastructure and UD looks much more like JMU did at the time of the transition. We are not leaving the FCS on top of the world but at least UD is positioned much bett...
