Re: Northeastern

NE has had some physical bigs in the past, but this is the most physical team I’ve seen Cohen have. Looked like a Towson game.

The bad news is, we will see a lot of zone defense in DC.

The good news is, after a fast start, we held NE to 47 points in 30 minutes. On to Stony.

Re: CFP Approves 5+7 Playoff Format

The first game under the new format hasn’t even been played, and discussions are underway to change it.

Or would they get the same $1.75M exit fee deal that Marshall, USM & ODU paid out?
That amount was correct in 2022, but I was told it's gone up to $3m and that took place in 2023 when the GOR went into effect.

If W. Kentucky leaves to join the MAC in 2025 that’s a $2.4 million payment. Not earth shattering but something for the institution to ponder.
On top of the standard $3.0m exit fee.

Re: Home and Home Set with UCONN

Ziady flat out sucked and had the personality of a pillow. If I had to list a top 10 moments in UD history, him resigning would be one. So glad we upgraded at the AD position. Yeah we got a huge upgrade at all three important positions; BOT Prez, UD Prez and AD. It must sux to thank EZ every time y...

Re: Home and Home Set with UCONN

Ahhhh…a Z-Daddy reference…the clown who fired Keeler and then did his exhausting 5-minute search for a replacement that brought us the first of the disastrous Brocco twins. Helluva thing…to start us looking toward our road to FBS by first trashing our football program and dragging us into the Lost ...

Re: Home and Home Set with UCONN

The FBS outreach began under EZ, as did the upgrades we were going to need to make a move. Full funding of scholarships, conversion of the field house and the beer garden, etc. His road block was Harker, who wanted to stay aligned with UNH, URI and W&M. Things got more serious when the BOT leade...

Re: UMass to the MAC

UMass to the MAC makes sense geography for sure. Good luck to our old conference foes.

The Minutemen not having to fill a 12 game schedule as an independent will free up other eastern seaboard schools to consider home-home contracts with the Hens.

Re: Home and Home Set with UCONN

Keep posting, Topstraight. I could not be more pleased for the opportunity that has opened for us. Looking forward to the new competition and the new destinations. (BTW, Buies Creek was NEVER going to happen for this fan) As an aside, Huntsville, AL for the basketball tournament looks like a fun pl...

By the way-- "most" CUSA fans (including myself) are Glad to have UD join the conference.

And "most" Hen fans (including myself) are glad that CUSA and it's member schools extended an invitation to UD to join them.

Re: Charleston

In the age of NIL and NCAA programs raking in donor money, I'm surprised that the football stadium and basketball arena don't have a corporate sponsor. Companies like DuPont, WL Gore, and numerous banks could easily invest in the university and secure naming rights. I'm unsure why this hasn't occur...

Re: Charleston

Don’t have much to say about our team. What I will say is that it was an absolute treat to watch Charleston tonight. What a well coached, well oiled machine. I think we need fresh ideas …but hey what do I know. I wonder how much NIL money Charleston is giving out. I mean they put out big money to k...
