Re: Fairfield 4/6
Game day! If we didn’t have Flo Sports, I guess we would just be able to tune directly to the university’s broadcast direct (Flo is only a middle man). I hope wherever MLAX lands that they have a good TV arrangement. The soccer situation is not real encouraging. Yes, today’s game looks like a tough ...

Re: Field Hockey, Lacrosse and Men's Soccer Conference?
Continuing on this MLAX possibility: With Chrissi's Big10 connections, could that be a possibility? Hopkins , MD, Rutgers, PSU, UM, We have history with all of them. I was going to suggest the Big also. But, I think these are all pipe dreams. Big East maybe. Patriot could be good but it would seem ...

Re: Field Hockey, Lacrosse and Men's Soccer Conference?
With five other teams in the Summit, that should mean two or three away conference matchups, plus a possible conference tournament. There will be regional OOC games that will require much less of a trip. Of greater interest, to me at least, are the landing spots for MLAX and FH. Same interest with ...

Re: Field Hockey, Lacrosse and Men's Soccer Conference?
Glad UD and other academic institutions are finally getting on board with the compelling arguments from the minority on at least one important topic, climate. The increased travel due to conference realignment will be a drop in the bucket, or really a molecule in the air, but it is at least a start...

Re: News Journal Article Today 03/20/24
Lou Holtz: Once after being fired early in his career, Lou came up with a lofty list of things he wanted to accomplish in life and he proudly showed it to his wife. She said -“I don’t see get a job here on this list”. Upon being hired as Minnesota’s coach Holtz told the school’s stakeholders that t...

Re: News Journal Article Today 03/20/24
Unfortunately, Carty will probably need a few more embarrassments in order to see the light. Oh savior of the message board, rescue us from Coach Carty learning by experience. This is his first year, right? Maybe you could send him one of your patented 1000-word posts so that he can have a first-ha...

Re: Field Hockey, Lacrosse and Men's Soccer Conference?
All this movement towards long distance conference foes plus the P5 practically making national conferences. I wonder what The Gerard J. Mangone Climate Change Science and Policy Hub at UD has to say about that. The universities push the climate change issue just about more than anyone. Watch what t...

Re: News Journal Article Today 03/20/24
Rojas said: “But I don’t see us transitioning and changing to a 4-down defense [full-time],” he added. “The 3-3-5 structure gives us the ability to really defend the pass and that’s what this game has turned into, a pass happy game. We’re still able to stop the run. I think some of the things that ...

LOL, no need to give a scouting breakdown for this comical affair. Have a safe trip and get back to Newark to prepare for the rest of the CAA.

Re: Hofstra 3/23
Congrats to the Hens for persevering through another crappy weather day and getting the win over Hofstra. They had a slow start but improved steadily through the game. Good to see the face off advantage, good goalkeeping and the scorers getting back on track. They get a scrimmage game next week (at ...

Re: Hofstra 3/23
Just too miserable out to go there in the rain again. Watching flo sports with no audio.
The differential cost for the Stadium Box tickets is more for Seniors Bill because Senior general admission tickets are only $10.

Re: Hofstra 3/23
Thanks, LILax. 2.5+ inches of rain forecasted for tomorrow. Bring the boat shoes. Definitely worth the extra $10 for the Club House pass…will need to warm up and dry out at half. Hoping to make the game. Might wear my fishing waders. 😂 Opening trout season weekend coming soon. Damn, and after we ha...

Been waiting for you to post LILax. The weather looks abysmal for the game but we are hoping to go. Hens gotta get back to winning.

Re: News Journal Article Today 03/20/24
This thread got good! I'm with Baltimore Hen. I prefer to watch the best athletes in terms of strength and speed. In football, basketball, hockey, soccer, tennis, golf, etc, those are all obviously men's leagues. Women aren't close. Women are certainly comparable in certain skill sports like figure...

Re: Syracuse 3/16
The offense definitely looked lost in the 2nd half. Syracuse just closed the door on them and most efforts were individual. The team needs to move the ball around more crisply and find openings for shooting. I think Ty Kurtz is missed. His laser shots helped to bring the defenses out and open things...
