Re: Student Tailgating

You claim that UD exaggerated the numbers and you can prove that, but then you can't. Which is it? You have a source but then you don't. What is that? I will say "bye" again because I find it freeing when you realize that some people don't know they’re talking about and it is a waste of t...

Re: Student Tailgating

And you really believe that Christiana Hospital was concerned because of TWO overdose cases on one day? And you "ran down the allegations?" LMAO. Glad I could contribute to joy in your day. Absolutely NOT, those guys are highly trained multi-tasking professionals and often look like plate...

Re: Student Tailgating

Just so you know, I ran down the allegations about the "huge" volume of alcohol poisoning cases from UD games, there were 2 during ONE game. I will tell you the whole story as I was told it at the time by Edgar (maybe Jerry?)if my memory serves. Edgar was salty about the fact that the two...

Re: Student Tailgating

Yes, reading comprehension does appear to be an issue. I suggest you go back and re-read the information in the link Cluck U. provided. Perhaps that will help. The point is that the "troubles" you identified did not have a negative affect on attendance during the years of the RWJ grant (a...

Re: Student Tailgating

You da man. That is when the "trouble" really started. No more going out at half during the game, the red cup police initiated, etc. Wonder what the outcome measures were for that grant? "Alcohol poisoning and vandalism at home football games dramatically decreased after the ta...

Re: Student Tailgating

Does anybody remember the name of the grant that UD got a decade or more ago to reduce drinking on campus? Edgar was the AD at the time. Yup. It was a lot of money and UD used it as an excuse to crack down on student drinking. Robert Wood Johnson. $700,000...but they got more money because it ran f...

Re: Student Tailgating

Rupp Arena in Lexington is nowhere near student housing. it's not winning or losing either. at the end of the day it is students not knowing who we are playing. personally that did not affect me when I was in school. the yankee conference schedule was not horrendous, like the watered down CAA has b...

Re: Student Tailgating

I agree that it's unrealistic for students to show up in force this season. But I don't know why we should think they *never* will. They don't show up because the University doesn't foster the necessary culture (including tailgating). That can change. My other alma mater, Wake Forest--the smallest ...

Re: Student Tailgating

Everyone needs to get over the idea that students, with the exception of the first and maybe second game, are going to attend. They never have and never will, at least consistently.

Re: Guys in the Portal

I hope Gwynn enjoyed his playing time this fall because if you ask me, he won’t see the field again. I thought he did ok given the circumstances but you can’t coach mobility and he doesn’t have it. Need a mobile QB Need an offensive line, then they can be mobile or immobile. Roethlisberger as much ...
