UD was the only team besides UConn to get a #1 vote in the latest coaches poll, even though they sit at #7 in the rankings.

Some interesting stats:

Scoring- UD is #4 nationally with 4.11 (UConn #1 with 4.79)
Goals against- UD is #4 at 1.14 (UConn #1 with 1.14)
Goals per game- Greta Nauck is #2 nationally with 1.26 (Veitner at UConn has 1.56)
Assists per game- Taylor Liser is #2 nationally with 1.05 (a Monmouth player has 1.21)... Kayla Devlin is #15 nationally.
Goals against- Emmeline Oltmans is #10 nationally and #42 nationally in save percentage.

UD was #4 nationally in average attendance- behind Penn State, Michigan and Temple.

Now we throw all this out the window... but a case can be made that UConn got shafted by getting UD in its draw for a second-round game, as these are probably both Final-4 teams on paper.

caught the second half- we missed a penalty slap(?), but came back later to tie it up 1-1. On to OT and PSU 2-1. great effort by our Lady Hens. CAA champs :D . we're proud of the team. We'll get them next season

Waiting to see the hour delayed football at 4:30 on SNY. 15 LONG minutes till kickoff.
Keep the faith kick butt go Hens

I was kind of worried about getting by this first one. It always seems difficult to beat the same team twice. I thought if we could have gotten by Penn State that we had a decent shot at beating UCONN. It was another great year for the Lady Hens nevertheless. Very proud of the team.

#6 vs #7 in first round for #9 tourney seed was wrong. That said, all the top 10 teams are tough! 4 out of 8 games went into OT yesterday which shows how strong the sweet 16 is in field hockey!
