If anyone here knows the prognosis for the injury to Brandon Walters' elbow on his pitching arm, please post here.

I guess Brandon is ok because he is starting today - lets see how he throws today.

Off to a good start - lets the sweep boys.

Hens hold on for 9 - 8 victory and sweep the Tribe. W&M scored 2 in the 8th and 2 in the 9th to make it a nail biter.

We got some very good pitching from our starters in the William and Mary series. After Wakely and Allen in the bullpen, though, it gets a little shaky. The difference in the series in the HBP category was glaring - our pitchers plunked 9 of their players, and they hit one of ours.

Wakeley is definitely the main guy out of the bullpen, Friday night he was outstanding. Allen did a nice job in relief of Ludman on Saturday, but he did make it interesting, hitting the first guy he faced. Dubecq, for the most part, has been pretty good, although he did struggle yesterday.

For the year, we have 49 HBP vs 17 for our opponents. Our pitchers, obviously, don't have a problem throwing inside. Ludman only has 9 BB for the season, but has 8 HBP. The amount of walks the pitching staff is giving up has been more of a concern in my opinion, but it was a little better for this series. Considering how young the overall staff is, it's somewhat understandable, but it must keep improving.

Rough weekend for the boys! They dropped all 3 to Elan.

Their starters didn't help them and like most of the year, they got really no relief from the pen [except for Game 3].

Game 1:
Pomatto - 1/3 of an inning & 5 run/4 earned

Game 2 [6 inning game]:
Ludaman - 6 inning & 4 earned

Game 3:
Wakeley - 3.1 & 2 earned runs
