I have huge concerns about the stadium being ready on time but it doesn't look like EDIS is concerned yet. I'm certain that UD would've included steep liquidated damages in the contract but the job is still only a 5-day per week operation. Excluding this weekend because of graduation, the easiest way to pick up time is to include weekends in the job schedule but that hasn't happened in any significant way to this point. Despite my doubts, it doesn't appear as though EDIS shares them.

By and large the most time consuming work on this remodeling will never be seen. The underground concrete and the under the stands iron work is extremely time consuming. By and large the concrete footings are all done. The iron work under the stadium is probably 70% done. When the underneath work is complete the press box and the seating will move along a lot quicker.

No reason to panic as of this date. I hope that some of the decking that was put on the field for graduation will remain. Additional supports can go on top of the decking and a lot of work can be done from the field.

Everyone will have their seats ready and Tres will ride the elevator to the press box.

Let's hope we see things start to pick up this week. ( Yes I said that last week too ). I don't think there's a person around who thinks the stadium would look the way it does on June 3rd.

I agree, no worries on the stadium at this point - plenty of time to complete the work that's needed to get everyone in their seats on opening night.

Haven't seen any activity today. Is that because of the weather?

Monday was lost to the weather. Tuesday was spent unloading three trailer loads of steel. Tuesday NIGHT the stadium lights were turned on and the crane operator and two iron workers worked to 11:00 pm. Maybe we will see more double shifts..

We have a group that sits on the visitors side L. We have been contacted about our seats need to be reassigned to build a temp press box for the entire year. Very good indication that the stadium will no be ready.

Guess the "secret" is now finally out. They have been behind since the second day of the project.

The administration is , of course, not happy with the situation but they've known for some time .

No Shitz! In addition to what we can all see with our own eyes and then pick up from living in Newark, it was also obvious despite some saying from afar that all was ok. And in addition, when some of the insiders weren't jumping in on the thread you knew something was up. They knew it wasn't good but of course, don't say anything about UD that isn't good. But they'll likely be jumping in now. Waiting for the thread, "It isn't Chrissi's Fault". The administration will go from "not happy" to embarrassed very soon. What a cluster. But at least the team has a whole lot of transfers ..... at just about every position except QB.

It's about time for an expose Tres.

Sorry to hear some east side fans will have to move their seats this season.

You will be able to enter the stadium and your west side seating will be there ... the restrooms will be port-a-potties, which we also knew from the beginning ... the concessions will be food trucks and trailers as they said it would be ... if you're on the west side you fan experience will be just as it has been sold from the beginning.

West side fans obsession with a press box, old or new, they have or never will enter is something I have never understood.

Any update on the seating precasts? Have they been shipped from the very un MAGA-like off shore production facility to the facility that will attaché the seats so they can they be shipped to Newark and mounted in the stadium? Lots to be done in 77 days. It takes almost that long to build a single family house. Calling Tres.
