Perhaps some punctuation may help get your point across.

You may have a point after the royal screwup on the Willard basketball hire. That set the program behind for ten years.

We are on our 3rd AD, 2nd University President & a new BofT Prez since the Willard hiring & un-hiring. That’s kinda like blaming Carson Wentz for a Donavan McNabb pick-6.

The "royal screwup" was not on UD's part. One should never be less than honest while on a job interview. Not to mention him getting suspended by Seton Hall at the beginning of this season for NCAA infractions. NCAA has not yet weighed in. IMHO, UD dodged a bullet (although they certainly could have done better than Ross). Time to move on and enjoy where UD basketball is now.

This is a cultural issue in regards to the football program. The university as a whole, as it should be, has grown astronomically from when I went there 20 years ago. My school district is #26 out of 616 districts in a state that’s first in the country for public education and even our strong students struggle to get in...so hard off to them.

But in terms of the football program...just reread some of the comments over the years by guys who are actively involved in the booster/alumni program and hear what their thoughts were and are in terms of the direction the program is going and you see...it’s a state/generational issue. There is no hope.

There are people on this board that still think it was a good idea to fire KC and who think that having a lame duck coach who has lost the fan base and will be fired mid next year is the way to go.

When tipping, wearing sunglasses at night, driving a Porsche, or god forbid wanting us to invest in what we should have done 40 years ago...is even mentioned as a reason why he got fired there’s an issue. And yes when you win you get your own parking spot and salad named after you.

For what it’s worth, the news story at the time said he disclosed his DUI during his initial interview. An offer was made until the BOT got the “final” say. If we ever have to replace MI, we best not look toward Louisville.

Maybe about a decade ago that would be a logical thought, but pretty much everyone, including Rick Pitino, Kevin Willard, the majority of our BOT, athletic directors, and University administrators have moved on with their lives a couple times over by now.
V for Villanova, V for veritable certainty of victory over Delaware.
