LOL ... this "staff' had Kehoe in front of Henderson to start last year and started a year with Walker at QB after two years being at the bottom of the nation in passing.
Right 79...this one is already in the running for post of the year. Rocco and staff clearly have their finger on the pulse of the QB situation, so we all should sleep well tonight...just awesome.
Spring game; Kehoe 0-ints, Henderson 2-ints

Do any of you guys pay attention to anything past a game? Apparently not, but we already knew that.
once the real games started it was Kehoe that was floating all the picks though....
recruiting recruiting recruiting...It ain't rocket science....We need better more athletic players...That simple....

Games, and winning them are what should matter. Anyone who watched any games and thought Kehoe gave the Hens a better chance at winning after seeing Henderson play doesn’t know anything. And another LOL about not paying attention coming from someone who said Walker looked good in practice and defended Danny going with him in year three. But once a company man, always a company man. But I don’t hate company men. I just feel sorry for them that they can’t admit what is plain for most to see. Waiting for the retort from the other half of the company man duo. You know, the one who said Henderson don’t look very good in practice leading up to the season.

If UD isn’t paying you guys to post this nonsense, you are leaving money on the table.

Without and offensive line I don't think it matters who we have at QB unless it's ole #10 Fran Tarkenton in his prime.

Looking at the returning OL starters and what's on the bench, I just don't see it happening unless they get some decent transfers.

Not real optimistic what's coming in 2020.

This sounds like the Dave Brock argument all over again.

Guys, Rocco doesn't have any credibility when it comes to gaging the QB position for a multitude of reasons already stated and since it is the most important position, we probably should air on the side of caution and have competition for the backup. Yes we have other holes to fill but that's just further evidence of this staff's inability to recruit and progress their players at some very crucial places.

As far the staff goes...what are they supposed to say guys? We don't know what we're doing? We're in over our heads? Here's a bold prediction, on signing day we're gonna here that this is one of the best, most dynamic classes they have ever recruited and further evidence that the program is heading in the right direction. If you want a copy of the speech I have an old one from when Brock was here. Just change the names and ignore the "plays violent" and "attack" phrases that he was so fond of and put in "In-Ten-Si-Ty" and you'll be all set.

Just coz the staff says it's sunny outside doesn't mean you shouldn't look out the window first before leaving your umbrella behind. Use your eyes not your ears.

All they know is that Henderson ran away from a number of rushes that would have been certain sacks with Kehoe. Based on that alone......

Henderson is the front runner no doubt, but with 4 QBs for spring ball and 5 in June it amazes me the number of you that have anointed Paolotti #2 with out ever seeing him.
No one has anointed anybody anything. Just that Paoletti is the next logical option after Nolan as he has been in the program the longest and was strongly touted when recruited from Marple Newtown, PA. It's only natural but we don't know and don't even know if the coach knows (see other posts). Maybe Cade Pribula or even DeMaille are ahead of Paoletti. We have not seen any of them in any game action (aside from maybe two plays by P at QB), so no one knows.
BTW, Paoletti was Coach Rocco's first QB recruit at UD. Two years of QB rectuits and we've seen two plays by one of Coach's recruits, despite the poor performance and injuries at that position. He got lucky with Lauletta at UR.

The likelihood that someone other than Henderson will have to take a significant number of snaps at QB next season should be of concern. The fact that there is not an obvious QB ready to do that should be of greater concern. That's all on Rocco and he must use the spring practices to fix it. No choice.

In my eyes, there's always a certain amount of "luck" involved in landing a QB recruit, especially a highly-touted one. Rocco was "lucky" or "fortunate" that Kyle dealt with some injury issues that prevented extended FBS interest. However, I do not know that you can attribute keeping a guy like Kyle in the program and overseeing his development into Senior Bowl MVP and an NFL draft pick entirely to luck or chance. DR is deserving of credit for both Michael Strauss and Kyle Lauletta's development at UR. Both put up quality numbers and Pat Kehoe did the same here (by-and-large, when healthy). Easy, now! :D

Holy Christ who cares? The point is you were wrong. Kehoe was an average back up. But most of the upright and conscious members of the fan base knew that...or should have. And If you walked away from the 2018 season believing he could play QB you were wrong. Especially after the Nova Game. The Spring Game means nothing. The choice was pretty obvious to everyone paying attention who should be starting and the results were further proven on the field. That’s why people are concerned about the QB position and Rocco’s ability to manage it and sorry, it’s not whining...you guys were chanting the same nonsense about Brock. Only took the annihilation of our program to prove that.

So anyway we need a transfer QB to back Henderson.

It took Rocco way too long to realize he had a QB issue. He should have seen that coming into Delaware. It wasn't that hard to see. Issues with the O-line that necessitated a very mobile QB should have been obvious. (Not to mention the need to address line play). Instead we got Einstein's definition of insanity. Was that because of Rocco's comfort with the QB he selected or just loyalty? Either way it was the wrong choice. Hopefully we get something better this year.

So you are in the BHB camp that what happens in practice and scrimmages shouldn't impact the coaches' decisions about who should be playing?
Brilliant.

I think what it proves is that just because a man has PHD doesn't mean he has the education enough to admit when he's wrong. And if at anytime you thought Kehoe was better than Henderson you were wrong. Practice is practice. Did you watch the 2018 season or did you just listen to HZ and the staff? I believe HZ at one point during last season's summer practices stated that Kehoe reminded him of Stabler. He was spot on and the results I think speak for themselves. But unfortunately for us, and much like with Brock and firing Keeler or the accepting of transfer QB's this was ultimately proven wrong once more. Surprise surprise, guess who wasn't Stabler.
The fact that he even went into the preseason with Kehoe at the one after watching the Nova game of 2018 and how poorly Kehoe played against good teams tells you what you need to know about both Rocco's and your eyes. Luckily, the season played out and guess what "KEHOE DOING BETTER THAN HENDERSON IN PRACTICE MEANT NOTHING." Come on Doc...you know facts...kinda. This staff will tell you anything. They must or they will get fired. But that doesn't mean you have to believe them. Aren't you guys tired of being fed the same $h!t they use to grow mushrooms in Hockessin? Everything they have told you in regards to "don't worry we know what we're doing," has been outstandingly wrong and only trumped by your continual command of persuasive language and unwavering belief in things that have come, past, and failed. Simply breathtaking. You sir are both a gentleman and a scholar.
On a side note, I also have this lovely beach front property in Vegas you might want to look at. The UD staff informed that not only will they magically fix everything wrong with the program by tomorrow, the entire West Coast is on borrowed time and this barren wasteland of a desert is actually an incredible, once in a life time, Kenny Stabler like deal. Sweet deal and they gave me their word.
