Sorry to hear this. My prayers go out to his family. We lost a great one. Loved watching him play while I was at UD. I agree, he was the greatest OL we ever had.

My prayers go out to his family and friends.

So sorry to hear that he has passed. Watched him play at Newark HS., UD, and the Houston Oilers. One of if not the best OL to ever come out of UD. Always played with that nasty streak, but off the field one of the nicest guys you ever would want to meet. It was a treat to watch him and the oldest Matthews block for Earl Campell! He surely will be missed, but his legacy will never be forgotten.

R.I.P. Conway.
Agreed - the BEST and a BEAST. Conway and brother Gary couldn’t have had any more different body types, but both great players. When I worked summers at the Louvier’s cafeteria in HS, I worked with their grandmom - just the nicest lady. You could see why they did so well. Both made the NFL - Conway had the longer career, starting 5 years at guard for Houston (blocking for Earl Campbell). Gary played both RB and WR at PSU and RB & KR with Buffalo in the NFL for 2 years.

It's still hard to take the news that Conway is gone. The image that will remain is of a gentle giant except when he was on the field. Like Slattery, Gannon, Johnson, Adams, and Flacco etc- they made us proud to be Blue Hens

Again- from an old friend RIP
