ALL TIME 'UNDERRATED' TEAM- 1968-2019

Post by HENJOHN » Sun Mar 29, 2020 7:27 am

I don't know about you other posters, but I have been keeping busy working some and utilizing diversions during this difficult time we are all going through. Like you all, I am a huge Football fan and have seen over 350 UD games since the late 1960's when my dad started taking me. JUST FOR FUN, I thought I would develop a list of players, BY POSITION, that were good and maybe very good, but never seemed to get all of the recognition they deserved. Its just for fun and I am sure I missed some guys but used my long period of time as a UD Football fan to get some talking going and maybe some fun reminiscing. Again, I am not saying these were the Best at their positions but really good players who may not have received all the "Pub" they deserved...... Here goes:

Rec, nice names and I saw them all but most of them were hardly " underrated ". Great players though

I have him on there 77
Yes, I saw. Just reinforcing opinion that he is a perfect example of what you put out . We could have won another NC with Sonny taking snaps. LOL, if we just get past that W&M debacle. And he was hampered by a loss of key WR's in 2005.

Tom DiMuzio. He was in the running for the best QB in Division II. He got beat out by Terry Bradshaw.

Pete Johnson - TE
Jason Nerys - OL
Anthony Bratton - S
Aaron Love - WR
Mike Byrne - OL
Sean Bleiler - TE/FB

Perhaps some of these were not that underrated but maybe not as appreciated as warranted.

Ditto.

Hume suffered from playing with two of the best LB's ever.

Absolutely. He also got screwed because of politics, but that's another story.
