Looks like he was named a freshman all american last year. Very solid pickup. Needed some help on that o-line and glad we’re getting some.

May or may not. The NCAA is taking a look at the requirement to sit out a year. Also, he may request a waiver due to the situation at Howard.

just read your post BG.
I figured that if the coach who recruits you leaves, then you often receive the right to transfer. Add the demise of their program due to the alleged actions of said coach and UD's chances appear substantial. The kid shouldn't be punished for actions outside of his control. It's important to take the needs of the student athlete first!! especially if he's a lineman

Hopefully, the entire team won't be sitting in 2020 with him.

Interesting ripple effect of the virus- the impact of a transfer having sit out the season is essentially nullified, a head coach hanging by a thread looks like he'll get 2021 and maybe a year or two after that, uncertainty about the next phases of upgrades. I'm betting no college football this year. I'll miss it terribly but it's not worth sitting in a crowd of 15-20 thousand people. I can wait till 2021.

If you're looking to avoid crowds of 15-20,000, then Delaware Stadium would be the place to be on a game day. Didn't even break 15,000 vs. ND State last year (14,489).

Of all the options on the table for a 2020 football season, one of the last options I can envision is a Delaware stadium with 12k, 15k or 18k fans in attendance. "Did your loved one attend a Delaware football game in 2020 and later die of COVID-19? Call 1-800-SUE-UofD to collect your share of the damages."

Unfortunately, if there is a football season. , the attendance will be quite a sad sight. I would be shocked to see a crowd of over 10K. Picturing average attendance in the 5-7K range. Really hope that it doesn’t have a long term affect, but I truly feel that it will. What a shame it will be to not fill up what is going to be an awesome new stadium. Maybe it’s a good thing they didn’t fire Rocco. Would’ve ruined what could’ve been a true new beginning for UD football.

I'm guessing a lot of "fringe" STH's will opt out & then only buy a few select games each year... 8)

I'm wondering if we don't have a season will we lose some redshirt seniors like Colby Reeder. He did not play last year and probably has more than enough credits to graduate. He is the one that comes to mind but I'm sure they are others in a similar situation.

Maybe it would be a good time for him to go on and get a graduate degree at UD.

None of the Fall Sports can happen unless the campus is open and the students, faculty , etc. are back Possible but unlikely. Winter Sports are also unlikely. For example, Men's Baskeball starts practice by NLT early Nov. If the campus is shut for the Fall semester (late Aug - late Dec), I don't see how Basketball and the other Winter Sports will be played, unless for example the canpus opens in early Nov which is unlikely. I see a possilbily that the Fall, Winter, and/or Spring Sports could start their (abbreviated?) seasons in early Feb and play thru May if the facilities and other required resources can be stretched to fit all/some of multiple season sports into one Spring semester. Another big problem with altering the sports seasons is for example how do you finish your FB season at the end of May/early June, report in Aug, and play in early Sep?
