Big 10 reverses course and decides to play. Unanimous vote apparently.

This was a good read on places doing it correctly and places either not even trying or just "stumbling" because they aren't doing it correctly.

The Big10 will implement extensive testings and major precautions once a positive test occurs.

That at least looks like a reasonable try to play football with the plan to shutdown practices and games for greater than 5% positive rate and 21 day quarantine and extensive medical testing for anyone testing positive. If those criteria were In place in the SEC, ACC and Big 12, most games would have likely been postponed so far. Better than Coach O mumbling about COVID running through the whole team but now being ok. Maybe those conferences “will learn”? Doubt it though. They will simply play on. And maybe the BIG12 wishes they were shutdown with the dreadful start of Kansas, Kansas State and Iowa State loosing at home to schools they should easily beat?

Nice article by KT. A lot of stumbling going on. And this article is on a day where UD had their biggest positive test case with 36 bringing the total to 180.

Seems like the whole course of football has turned this week. The Big Ten decision to come back has had a domino effect. Looks like the PAC 12, Mountain West & the MAC may all be joining them.

Delaware HS’ reverse course and a number of local PA leagues doing the same.

Interesting article about W&M plagiarizing portions of Stanford's news release about dropping sports. Is there no honor among AD's?

Wow and that's not even just a little bit.

This person worked here with current Stanford AD Bernard Muir so there's the connection.

UMass to play limited schedule

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.espn.c ... atform=amp
A guy in my office has a kid on the UMass team - it's been interesting hearing the provisions they've put in place to keep the players safe and tested and healthy. Taking the normal D1 steps of really dictating the student's day to day activities and ramping it up tenfold now due to COVID. Also interesting from the article that they didn't think they could put together a spring schedule. Different from FCS, as now a good chunk of FBS is going to play in the fall. If UMass waited until the spring to play they'd likely not find a lot of FBS competition.

Why can't UD schedule some games against Towson, Villanova, WC, DSU or even Rutgers for late Oct/Nov?

Will you also be passing the hat around like a Delaware Semi Pro Baseball Game? Ooops there's no one to donate.

Is it really that hard to figure out why other than the P5's why there is no push to play??

Actually 2

1) Meaningless Football or should I say a glorified scrimmage
2) Drum roll please............MONEY

They are already losing millions and you expect UD to fund a meaningless game with zero revenue opportunity.

Might be time for you to take up knitting???
