Let’s hope the NCAA s allows student athletes out of their commitments & waives the sit out rules. So manny seniors being who want to play!

The Ivies have very strong field hockey programs!

The Ivies put a good amount of players in the NFL. I think they had 16 last season.

Sources: The Patriot League will not have fall sports in 2020.

This DOES NOT include winter sports.

Official announcement expected soon.

Patriot always follows the Ivy. But truth be told, I'd expect all of FCS to follow suit for football at least. Still don't see why cross country can't go on, other than students not being on campus.

I find it strange that the Patriot Conference has cancelled all Fall sports when I was unable to find any news about how Patriot Conf. members were going to handle the Fall semester for students in general. The Ivy League schools (or at least several prominent members) announced before or simultaneous with their athletic plans that the numbers of students on campus awould be restricted to about 40% of the regular student body and instruction would be pretty much restricted to on-line learning or a combination of classroom and on-line instruction. It seems to me that plans for the whole student body should be decided and announced before or simultaneously with plans for athletics. It wouldn't appear to make sense to me to have all or most of the student body in residence and attending instruction in the classroom while banning athletics. I also don't believe it makes much sense to cancel Fall Sports while still planning to play Winter Sports (e.g., Basketball) that begin pratice NLT early Oct and start playing games in late Oct/early Nov.
