First tailgate thoughts

Post by UD '01 grad » Sat Sep 19, 2020 8:06 am

This would have been the date of the home opener, and first Delaware Stadium tailgate of 2020. The chill morning air reminded me of such things.

Instead of coolers to pack and vehicles to load up, the itinerary includes weeds, lawn mowers and cleaning supplies. At least Navy, Notre Dame (USA Network today) and the US Open are on the DVR for later.

Here's hoping normal comes around sooner rather than later. Enjoy today's activities, whatever they may be.

Not going to watch the 1986 rewind game? Taking bets on the over / under. The line is at 65.

It would have been a perfect day for a football game here in Newark today.

And players are practicing, other teams and conferences are playing live games. What a shame.

I've been spending these weekends in beautiful Fenwick (not really an) Island DE. Now that the pensy & virgny folks are gone, it's almost as nice as it was in April & May. :P
