Re: More Knights
I think Rich agrees with you. I, also, like all of the Knight's.
By the way, when Debo Williams was recruited I suggested that he would be playing sooner rather than later. It appears Rocco really likes him. "19 going on 30". He not only has great athletic ability he also understands our defense already.

Re: More Knights
This is not a good year for in state senior talent but the Hens will surely be trying to harvest the Knight brothers in the future. I suggest they will have the inside track.72 Hen wrote: ↑Tue Dec 22, 2020 11:33 amI think Rich agrees with you. I, also, like all of the Knight's.

Re: More Knights
Oh yea Gladys Kinght
I got one
The wind blew some luck in Delawares direction
Up From Old Dominion way
We finally made the transfer connection
But Rip Van Rocco gets in the way
I'll take you on a one way trip beside the ocean
But only if you promise to stay
Ain't nothing like the fans to dose a potion
You better play the best players on Saturday
Will Knight
Feels right
Repeat chorus
Will Knight
Feels right
Fade out
Just win
Tonight

My contribution, though not as good is “Knight Moves”:
Knight moves...
Knight moves...
Ain’t it great how Will Knight moves
With defenders closing in
Re: More Knights
Pretty painful to read or sing.
If you're gonna do it ....do it right.
I know 4 individuals who about 35 years ago, played at Sam's, The Glass Mug, The Penncader Student center.
10 songs have been sent to those individuals, after the 1st of year and Covid calm down, those individuals will begin rehearsals.
Over the years as they got older, had families, on those few times where they would see one another, their entertaining but average at best lead singer always told them, "I have one great gig left in me."
Every show opened with Sympathy for the Devil and closed with Do do do do Heartbreaker.
Does 2020 have anything in store for these guys???? Only time will tell.

Sam's was a hole in the wall...but if the owner liked you, you got served.

The Newark History Museum just posted on Facebook an old add from 1978 from The Glass Mug. Forgot about that place.
The Down Under was another place that was always packed.
Tubby, 1983-1993: 76-49 (60.8%), 2 losing seasons, 5 playoffs, 2 first round exits, 2 quarters exits and a semifinal loss.
Keeler, 2002-2012: 86-52 (62.3%), 3 losing seasons, 4 playoffs, a quarters exit, 2 championship game losses, 1 national title.

Spot on Cluck. Sam called everybody "handsome" and if you were nice every now and then you might find an extra Taco in your bag! Poor guy passed getting hit by a car in Brookside area.
