Article in today's Wash Post reported that D1 has had 700 xfers over some recent period and that the reason UNC has stayed near the top is no xfers sine 2011 and no one and domes.

The injury was very unfortunate but...........
Nope, I have been told he is 100% healthy.

Wish him the best, probably has to go D2 or He will lose another year

He had such a promising start before the injury. I had expected we had a sleeper in signing him. I still can see that missed layup his first season as he was racing down the court, but it was the 3's that were exhilarating .

It was obvious that he was discontented sitting on the bench this season(who wouldn't be?) and things didn't look promising here at UD. It was a "no brainer" to seek a different program.

I wish him a return to his former game and good luck in his future. Thanks for that freshmen year.

This signing was no sleeper or anything close to it. He was a top target of this staff.

Offers from South Fla and VCU....he wasn't under anybodies radar.

Opens another scholarship.

I think I understand what you're trying to say but we already had 2 open scholarships. This is a big loss in my opinion though I am not shocked. Given his talent I struggled to figure out why he couldn't find the court in the second half of the season. Just based on my views watching the games, I suspect it has to do with his defense and/or lack of movement without the ball. It was clear that he didn't fit with what MI's system though I was hopeful that with time and coaching he would get back into the mix. His length and 3 point shooting could have been very valuable to us. Oh well, I wish him the bet of luck in the future.

Now we have 3 open scholarships. What does MI do with them? I know we alluded to a 5th year transfer. Hopefully he has someone in mind... Anyone have any insight?

I was a big supporter of Varsky. I thought he had potential to be a big time scorer. Seemed to be misfit in coach's system - sort of "square peg in round hole" analogy.

I wish him the best. Seems like a good kid. Sometimes a change is good...

Perhaps he'll reunite with Cory Holden at South Carolina on another Final 4 team......lol. South Carolina a lot closer to home!

I had hopes that Chivarsky would be a major contributor to this past year's team after announcing he was returning to UD.

Unfortunately, he did not fit with this system nor MI's vision for the program.

It was obvious as the season wore on that MI favored Bryant over him and that his days at UD were getting darker.

We wish him the best and look forward to having another scholarship for this very important recruiting season.

Mark Donnal from Michigan would be a nice addition for the Hens. Immediately eligible, 6'9" with an outside shot.

Matt Ryan, the ND transfer looking at Georgetown, Vandy, Cal and GW. I wonder if MI even made an attempt considering he recruited him to ND.

I wondered about that also, but if Ryan is leaving because his strengths do not mesh well with Brey's philospophies and/or his playing time was going downhill -- he might not think that signing on with a Brey disciple would be a smart thing to do?

Very quiet on the recruiting trail. Much different than past 10 years at this point.
