MBB @ CofC

Thursday's win at UNCW guarantees at least a split this trip ... no pressure now; just play lose and see what happens Saturday in Charleston.

1. They lost to Drexel last night at the free throw line ... CofC led by 13 with 13+ minutes left in the game, made 3 more FGs & 1 less three than Drexel and also had fewer turnovers ... Drexel was 15-20 from the line; CofC was 9-16

2. Coming off of a loss at JMU and last night at home to Drexel, we are a must win game for them now. Next Thurs-Sat they are at Northeastern and at Hofstra. They won't want to make that trip on a 3 game losing streak; the Hens will see their best.

3. Riller, Brantley (both CAA 1st team) & Galloway carry the scoring load each game.

4. The past 2 games CofC seems to have broken down defensively; JMU shot 55% & 50% from 3 ; Drexel shot 48% & 35% from 3

Win this one the Hens are 5-1 ... lose they started the CAA season a respectable 4-2 and still no worse that 2nd place in the conference.

After this game the Hens will have played all 5 of the CAAs top 5 preseason picks and played 4 of them on the road. Rematches with Hofstra, Northeastern, UNCW and CofC will all be at the BOB ... only a road trip to W&M remains.

Right on, JD. We'll need to match the Cougars' intensity on their floor.

Will be a very tall task at Charleston on Saturday. Hope I'm wrong and we can somehow find a way to win this game, but I just can't see it happening. C of C is coming off 2 consecutive losses, with a bad loss to Drexel on Thursday. Would be truly awesome to come back home with 2 W’s…fingers crossed.

Gotta believe that CofC, coming off losses to @ JMU and Drexel at home AND their schedule next week of @ Northeastern & @ Hofstra, we will get their best today. They are talented and wounded right now and don't want to go on that road trip next week on a 3 game losing streak. The Dragons did not do us any favors, that's for sure.

But we already have our split this trip and we should be loose and looking to measure ourselves. As they say, there is a reason they play the games :D :D

Charleston is not a great 3 pt shooting team....and with Brantley a matchup nightmare(who on Delaware can guard him?) plus Riller's ability to drive, I hope to see a lot of zone today.

Charleston favored by 10

I'll be watching our guys at 4:00 and Tennessee at 6:00 with timeouts allowing me to check on the NFL games!
I'm hoping UD will have built some solid confidence and knock off C of C!! :)

Looks like Anderson is out of the starting line up again. Will be interesting to see if that's a permanent change or just for this road trip after missing the bus.

Watching online it pains me to see the crowds at CofC and UNCW vs. all of the empty blue seats at UD...

NICE CROWD need more size v their big guys

U can't win going to one player only-Carter who is playing well as usual
if we go small with 4 guards , we have to run/fast break and attack- I don't like the 4 rotation

still early, but sloppy one on one O -too slow developing on O - clock often down to 8 seconds

great to see Anderson explode on a drive

How can MI leave Carter who is foul prone stay on the court with 1 minute till the half? That's 3 now on our 1 big man .

every stat is in their favor, esp TOs

not pleasant to view this one-

Agreed. Feel like we're lucky be down by ten at the half. Biggest difference so far is the turnovers. We're having some trouble with their athleticism but also making too many careless mistakes.

Down 10 at half. Our guys are not in panic mode, nor should we. This would be nice to get, but not a problem if not. Get home and get two.

Hound- no panic, but never think it's ok to lose a game before it's over. We simply don't have a D game plan to stop them, and our O is always the same, without deception. We need movement. C of C moves well on O.

We can't depend on Carter and Horton to carry us. You need points from other guys! Live by the 3 is dangerous. We had opportunities to close that lead, but made those stupid TOs.

Is Cushing hurt or just in the doghouse? I haven't heard an answer ever. I wish I knew if he was available :x

Our lack of size inside hurt us early. If we get hot, it's still within reason to pull it out, but the team just doesn't look sharp !!

To give up 34 in a half is not the problem. Nobody is quiting. Relax.
