Sounds a lot like his decision to leave UD. Maybe the same dynamics.

He can always return to St. Joe's. Putting feelers out there can't be a bad a thing.

UDPat is correct ... the advisory committee route allows him to return to St Joe's ... either way, it wouldn't surprise me if he ends up overseas.

Hope thats the case, feelers. If not someone is giving the kid bad advice. I am still pulling for him since he left but NBA?

2 full years at UD & 2 at SJU PLUS 4 summers... Daly should have more than enough credits to graduate at the
end of this semester... 8)

St. Joseph's was expected to have a dramatic turnaround next season. Maybe Daly thinks not.

I'd be really surprised if he isn't back at St. Joes next year. This is a no-risk proposition for him since he can use this to get a sense for how he'll be evaluated by pro scouts.... and then return for another year when it becomes clear that the NBA path is unlikely

Interesting Ryan " didn't fit in socially at UD. " 50-50 he is going to return to St Joe's .

For those who didn’t listen, “didn’t fit socially” ... Daley said large school vs small school, UD is a party school and is spread out. SJU has a small family atmosphere. He said he lives 5 minutes from campus. Also, said he liked the basketball at UD. All of that seems pretty reasonable to me.

As much as some try to rip a young man that leaves UD including throwing out subtle innuendo about problems, Daley sounds like a well grounded young man.

Playing for St Joes, where his father and grandfather played, sounds like the main reason. Are we to assume if UD was small like St Joes, he would have stayed. Nope, the kid wanted to play for St Joes his entire life. Cant fault him for that but not sure why he even needed to go into about UD being a party school. He was leaving regardless.
