As posted after his first game against Del St, Painter is the missing piece. He should be getting from 25-30 min a game from here on out. Opponents will have to adjust and double him which will free up the 3s.

Yes, he’s been a game changer. With all due respect to Goss who has shown great improvement, Painter is in a different ‘league’. Painter has a huge impact on both the offense and defensive ends of the court.

Could not disagree more. Painter is a one trick pony

Could not disagree more. Painter is a one trick pony - and has made far more mistakes than Goss this game.

Got the much needed win. And did it the way they will have to the rest of the year with a balanced inside and outside game not totally relying on the 3.

Good win boys!

23 points, 10 boards for Painter. Big 3 from Anderson down the stretch.

Nice road win! What a clutch 3 pointer that was by Anderson. Great job of making their free throws down the stretch by the guards. Painter played well. Feels good to get back in the win column on the road like that.

Just win. Wasn’t pretty at times but got a win on the road. Anderson returned back to his form from this year and was terrific. Painter fantastic as well.

Clearly worked on getting easier looks. Didn’t shoot as many 3s. Hopefully teams will start to collapse more on Painter and it will open up the 3s again. And hopefully we can hit them.

Only caught the last couple minutes but huge trey by Anderson and some nice interior defense the last few possessions. Clutch FT's by Darling and Anderson to keep it a 2 score game. Seems like Painter had a really nice performance tonight. Let's win another this weekend and get back home with an above .500 record in conference play.

Yes, I think with Painter we can develop that good inside out game, like we did With Pegues in the low block. Want to double team painter? We.ll kick it out to one of our stud 3 point shooters. I like the sound of it. Called good court balance!

I agree with the difference Painter can make and he’s only going to get better as he gets more game experience. He can be a dominant force down low and has a relentless tenacity about him (e.g. 5 offensive rebounds tonight).

On the other hand, there were a number of times that he got out of position defensively and we paid the price for it. I trust that will improve with game experience, film study and Coach Phillips influence.

Goss PT was limited due to four fouls in limited minutes. I think it will be interesting to see if and how MI adjust PT for both players going forward. I continue to believe there is an important role for each. However, I would give more minutes to Painter - especially if he can minimize the defensive lapses.

An important win in terms of the teams psychological make-up. Both Mutts and Allen have appeared to lose some confidence lately in their shots, but fought through that last night. Mutts was awful in the beginning of the game, but got some easy baskets later (including one highly unlikely one) and Allen decided that going to the basket was the way to break out of his slump. Lets hope that continues going forward.

Great road win. We have a lot of talent and I was actually surprised the game was so touch and go as it was. This is a dangerous Mid-Major Team. Caps off to the staff for finding and recruiting enough talent to win and do so in spite of the players we've lost recently due to transfers.

Go Hens.

Best played game since Nova and best played true away game since Laffy. Hopefully, that bad patch is in the rear view mirror.
