Tomas Murphy leaving NU. Losing Boursiqout and Murphy is going to hurt.

Murphy to Vermont

Delaware has reached out to Penn grad transfer Ryan Betley. 6'5 guard frm Downington, PA. Avg 12.8 pts for career and 38% from 3.

6 CAA schools are showing interest plus a slew of majors

Saw an interesting stat. 14 mid major grad transfer players who avg double digits scoring during the 18/19 season and transferred up. None avg double digits last year.

Wonder about this. Hens are already stacked at guard. Does this signal someone leaving?

I don’t think so. I think the staff is just trying to get as many weapons as possible. Admittedly haven’t seen this kid play, but looking at his bio he’d be another guy who fits. Smart, shoots well from beyond, good size.

Would love to redshirt Asamoah or Arletti.

Between the offer to the high school recruit and now this, who knows, could imply something. There is a player on our team who avg 20 pts/game and has been in college for 4 years now(may be in line to graduate this spring) and would be gobbled up by major teams. Hopefully that will not happen but would be a real kick in the nuts

I would be sad to see this happen, but not surprised. Mid-major programs are going to see this happen more than ever -- especially with players who can graduate and still have one year of eligibility left. Why not go to the big-time and test your game? MI and others have to be ready to operate with somewhat of a revolving door. That's just the landscape these days. The good news is that MI appears to be able to recruit well in the search for replacements. Let's hope he doesn't have to this year, but info like this makes me think something is cooking.

Thinking more positively: maybe it is just planning for some guys to red-shirt. Several candidates to do so.

My post is in no way negative, just being realistic. The landscape has changed and any player could leave. I hope this isn’t the case but I will no longer be shocked if it does happen.

As we learned with another player, until fall semester hits, anything can happen.

If we take another guard, I want the Freeman kid. He's good I could see him and Marco being part of the back court once the current guys move on.

Agree with Pat. Betley probably looking at a chance to being in the starting line-up, wherever he goes. Can't see that at UD unless one of the current starters leaves the program. Freeman would not come with that expectation.

He's not coming here but Quinnipiac Grad Transfer Kevin Marfo 6'8" would have been perfect, led the nation in rebounding at 13 a game plus was a 10 pt a game guy.

But his top 5 is Penn St, VCU, St Johns, Texas A&M and Minnesota

Oh well
