With the health & wellbeing of student-athletes & the greater campus community in mind, The Ivy League Presidents decide to forego athletics competition in fall & winter sports, postpone competition in spring sports through February 2021.
I don't think there's any shock over this, they pretty much signaled as early as September they weren't going to play. I don't think they've even allowed teams to work out together yet this year, so yesterday was just a formality for a decision made awhile ago.

I'm going to wait until next season or the Post Vaccine era.

There won’t even be a choice to make but it would have been any easy one. There will be no attendance at UD basketball games. And as the virus continues to rage, the season is starting to get in jeopardy. But with the good news on the vaccine front, it is looking better for a close to normal regular fall football season complete with tailgating. The sooner the delayed transition starts, the better the chances for the fastest and widest dissemination of the vaccines and for all of us to start to get back to normal. Is that too much to ask?

Looks like practice will resume this wednesday per Jon Rothstein. With the Conn event not happening, guessing UMBC on 12/2 would be first game.

It's not an official statement that we won't have any non-conference home games this season, but I have looked at every team's non-conference schedule and none of them have an away game at Delaware. If we were to have a non-conference home games this year, my guess is that it would have been listed by now. At this point in the calendar it's not likely to happen. Hope I'm wrong but that's my gut feeling.

Northeastern has cancelled all games and practices for winter sports till 12/18
