Let me get this straight...Harris stunk, Simmons stunk. Redick stunk, Embiid obviously not 100 percent and we beat Toronto...Go figure....Win a game with defense......Win a game despite the turnovers....We win that game because the Raptors played poorly but we won a road game.

Great game by Butler, Ennis off the bench with Monroe adding valuable minutes....

Right on all counts Joe. Didnt see this one coming. Big, ugly win. Road wins in the Playoffs are tough.

Simmons D on Kwahii made him work for every point he got and it helped to eliminate the easy buckets the Raptors got in Game 1. Great team win. That was a playoff game win - every possession on both ends of the floor was a grind. Do that three more times and we can start talking about the next step. Game 3, like most odd games, is huge. Frankly, these next two home games are huge. Go back to Toronto up 3-1 and we're in good shape. A lot of grinding ahead of us.

Thats exactly what it was GF, A gut wrenching win when they didn't play well...Wer saw the reason why they lead the league in perimeter dee....Simmons did play tenacious defense and Leonard still got his buckets but was bothered on his 3 point attempts..The Sixers showed they can win this type of game...

Wow they looked good last night!

Embiid finally came to play & was a force on both ends, even if he only played 28 minutes. Butler continues to be a leader just missing a triple double & playing great D too. Simmons is making Kawhi work for every point he gets & you could see Leonard trying to catch his breath multiple times last night - he was wither out of gas or gave up like the rest of the team in the 4th quarter last night. I think as long as Toronto remains a two-player team the Sixers are in great shape.

Yup, Kawhi will get his points, but the key with having Simmons play him as much as he has is to make Kawhi work really hard for those points and to make sure he doesn't get other parts of the team involved by being able to blow by the primary defender. Simmons isn't allowing that, so Kawhi gets his points but at great effort. And the rest of the Raptors are just disengaged on offense.

Game 4 is huge - Raptors are right back in this thing and have the homecourt advantage in a 3 game series if they win - a Sixers win means they need just one more win in the last 3. I'm liking the Sixers chances - once they started playing the starters more (Butler and Simmons are logging significant time, as they should) it's making things really difficult for the Raptors to match up at either end of the court. That Sixers starting 5 (and plugging Ennis in for Reddick when needed) is really long defensively, and have Embiid dominating the paint, and then on offense there's just so many options. Still a lot of work to do, but the trend is nice.

Game 4 summary:

Harris...came up small
Ben...came up small
Bench...came up small
Embiid...came up the smallest of them all.

Embiid was severely under the weather and had a poor game because of it. Wonder if he celebrated a bit too much after thinking the series was over after the third game? He managed 11 points regardless. But the problem for me is that Superstar Simmons mustered up a grand total of 10 points to bail him out.
Keepin' it real.

The TEAM is playing very well.

Credit to the bench and Jimmy Buckets. Redick is not being given enough credit. He is busting his a$$ on both ends.

Game 5 should determine who advances!!!!!!

10/7/5 ????????

Some people may not like Redick (carryover from being a Duke guy) but there's no doubt that he works much harder than most people out there. He's a constant blur on offense and it's only his effort that keeps him being a total liability on defense. He's still not a good defender, but his effort at least lets you keep him on the floor when you wouldn't otherwise.

Interesting comments from Jimmy Lyman concerning the Sixers half court offense, which He acknowledges is what PLAYOFF basketball is, it's like the Sixers are playing 4.5 against 5 when they have the ball in the half court offense.

Despite any shortcomings....It's all on the line tonight!!! Winner tonight most likely takes the series.

Let's hope there are no more hangnails, respiratory issues or hangovers!!!! No excuses...just play!!!

Embiid already listed as "probable" with an "upper respiratory infection"
