Agreed 77Hen- that game was a travesty. And the 2010 “UD’s 4th down stop in the 4th quarter” was terrible as well! Wayne Hanby

Might be the dagger for Bison. 40-plus yard TD scramble up the middle on a third and 23. ... Bison up by 15 .... Dukes rushed 4 with no spy.

We can blame the officials, but we lost that game. Way too conservative after getting up big, questionable play calling, and no one made a play in the 2nd half. There was plenty of blame to go around for that loss, including the officials, but KC and staff had a bad game that night. Who would have thought that 2010 championship game would have been the start of the loss decade of UD Football…

Side note…NDSU is just too good for FCS Football.

JMU defense not playing assignment football, broken and trick plays are killing them.

Don’t go recruiting JMU defensive coaches

FG: any coach notice different holder? Geeze
3rd and 23: man to man defense AND no qb spy? Geeze

It's just unbelievable how NDSU makes really really good football teams look like they are clueless, unprepared, and sometimes not worth of being out there on the field. IN THE PLAYOFFS, no less.

FINAL: North Dakota State 28, James Madison 20

The national champs were in Newark this year. They were just wearing white, green and gold.

Good game overall. Dukes fought to the final whistle. Long way to go for Hens.

Is UD closer to the champs or the bottom of the FCS?

In Rocco we trust.

Wow. I guess you either call that a great play by the safety or a terrible pick to end it. Can’t ask for much more for a NC game. At least it will be the longest trip home ever for the insufferable JMU fans.

NDSU o,&d line play was the difference . I was not impressed by JMU playcalling or DiNucci.

Time management and they don’t need to make that pass. Leaving timeouts in the bag?

NDSU 8 National Titles, 3 Coaches, 5 QBs. Announcers on NBC, why is NDSU so dominate? Culture. Winning Culture. They give no crap about who they are lining up against. They go in knowing they are going to win and ATTACK. No Fear. Nothing other than Victory is acceptable.

We kind of had that when Keeler was here. Its not any player or coach. They came and went but its that feeling greatness is always brewing and people want to be a part of it.

We finally will have the facilities and the AD support. We just need the face and the leader.

Hens will be -25 or more in the season opener next year against JMU. The Hens aren’t even in the ball park talent wise.

Dead on, JMU's time management was dreadful on that last drive, with TWO timeouts left and less than 40 seconds remaining, they let far too much time run off the clock while they were getting a play.

Agreed. Get up on the ball, call the play and go! Too slow. Use your timeouts to have the best play possible and the best blocking.

This may be good news:

James Madison opens the 2020 season at home Sept. 5 in a CAA game against Delaware with holes to fill. The Dukes will have a new quarterback, and the Stapleton brothers -- receiver Riley and tight end Dylan -- played their last game, as did All-America defensive end Ron'Dell Carter.

And at least the NDSU will finally lose. Maybe:

North Dakota State will go for its fourth win over a Power Five team in eight seasons in a Sept 5 season opener at Oregon.
