Money is Flowing in WBB!

A Promotion & a Raise! OUTSTANDING in this economy!
NEWARK, Del. – University of Delaware head coach Natasha Adair excitedly announced Wednesday the promotion of Sarah Jenkins to associate head coach.

Jenkins, who is entering her fourth season with the Blue Hens, was named earlier this year as a Top 50 Division I Women's Basketball Assistant by Silver Waves Media.

"I am extremely grateful to Coach Adair and the entire University of Delaware administration for trusting and believing in me," Jenkins stated. "There is more work to be done and I'm excited to move forward and continue to advance the vision of Blue Hens Athletics and the women's basketball program."

The Bowie, Md. native is the program's recruiting coordinator and primarily works with the team's perimeter players.

"It brings me great joy to promote Sarah to associate head coach," commented Adair. "She is vital to our program and family. I have had the pleasure of watching her as a player and now as a coach. Sarah brings the same passion, knowledge, competitiveness and winning spirit to work every day. She is a tireless worker and life learner! Her drive is contagious throughout our program and department. Sarah has earned this opportunity. I'm excited for her and our continued growth!"

Jenkins joined the coaching ranks immediately after graduating from Georgetown University in 2005 and spent more than eight years coaching high school basketball before taking an assistant coaching position at her alma mater in 2014 under Adair's tutelage.

Typically a step to enhance her applications to head coaching jobs elsewhere.

There’re are now 2 associate head coaches and 2 directors of WBB operations. All the assistant coaches should be laid off.

did the UD BOT approve the raise? Her resume screams the necessity to shell out the shekels   a few of her recruits do possess strong bios, but have not produced yet.

maybe this move is a ploy leading up to replacing NA in house and saving bucks while maintaining some continuity? I'm not really high on her becoming head coach, but any change in our bball HC would be a blessing as several of us have pointed out the necessity for new leadership as well as competence after her first two seasons sad results and last year's absolute debacle.

Rawak has to have the courage to admit mistakes and bite the bullet. I would add DR to the list of terminations as well.
Keep the faith kick butt go Hens
