Old Time Photos

Due to some of the feedback from my last post, here is a gallery that some of you "oldsters" might enjoy. I use that term with affection since I'm certainly part of that club.

Disclosure: These shots are from the stands when I was a fan with a cheapie camera, so not the same quality you'd expect from me.

The second photo of the field storm against Wofford, I spot myself. What a memory! Thanks Cams.

That’s a treat to see the old hedges and stands full of fans. We aren’t getting any current pics, do you think Cam’s successor with the camera will come around to posting on GoHens as Cams did?

That’s a treat to see the old hedges and stands full of fans. And you can just imagine the Wing T action in some of the photos. Wofford semi final - one of the best games and fun times ever at Del Stadium. We aren’t getting any current pics, do you think Cam’s successor with the camera will come around to posting on GoHens as Cams did?

Cams: Did you shoot the black & whites in Kodak Tri X or Plus X or did you use a b&w slide film?

I sat in the North End Zone for that Wofford Semi. I brought a train whistle with me and was blowing it at the end of the game.

Loved those photos. Heck, I still love that old scoreboard that just showed the score, the time, and the downs/yards to go. And when they used to have guys walking up and down the steps selling concessions.

I'm not sure if the two photogs that took my place will post on this site. They usually post on Instagram.

I will be shooting 4 games this year. Dusquene, Towson, Campbell and Nova. So I'll post a gallery from those games.

HaHa - you love that old scoreboard? I like the new one, they programmed more into it after it was very basic during the LAX season. I have a new, albeit small, beef. The banners placed around the stadium commemorating past championships, etc is extremely old and showing it. The U could spare a few dimes to get some new banners that don’t have faded coloring. Show some pride (as in - be proud and show it with class). Also, did anyone notice the inflated helmet collapse during the team entry for last week’s game? That gear is also showing its age.

I liked seeing it - I'm not saying trade the new scoreboard in for it, just that it was a fond memory. Although it would've been nice to have it moved to somewhere else in the stadium and kept for old times sake. But yes, the new scoreboard is very nice.

And yes, the championship banners do look faded, and yes, I saw the helmet deflate the moment they swung the facemask part out. Luckily it wasn't a harbinger of things to come.
