The ladies had a a rough opening weekend ...they went 2-3 in NC.

Pitching is going to carry, lets hope their offense shows up.

Beat them again after being down 6-1. Hit back to back home runs to tie then win it.

Well, it has been a season filled with much success, but this team is limping into the post season.

Campbell came into Newark this weekend, two games back in the standings. They have won the first two game of the series 2-1 and 1-0, and are leading 4-0 in the final regular season game. A win in this one, will have them finishing first in the standings, UD in 2nd place.

This will be a gut check for the squad, but maybe this is the year that they win the tournament. Work to be done.

Disappointing end to the regular season....they are on a three-game losing streak.

You have to start wondering why they cant close out a season. Is it the coaches putting too much pressure on the girls?? Let hope they can get hot and make sure a run this week.

Lady Hens verse Stony at 230.

Let's hope the ladies can shake off the disappointment from getting swept at home.

Following the other winner's bracket semifinal in UNCW/Campbell. Very nice situation for the #4 seed to host this, lots of fans out there for them.

What a great play to end the game. If we win, we'll play UNCW tomorrow at noon. If we lose, we'll play right after this game against #6 Hofstra in a win-or-go-home game.

First pitch now at 3:05

Yeah, it would be a real disadvantage to lose in th UD vs. Stony Brook game. You have to turn right around and play against Hofstra who is resting awaiting the loser. If you defeat Hofstra, you would have to win 2 games on Friday to advance to the championship to play the winner of Game #7 who will only have played 2 games (a win on Fri & a win on Sat) versus your 4 games. You really need to win this game to have a real chance at the title. If you do evenosing Game #7 on Friday and having to win a second game on Friday and two on Sat to win the title isn't as big a disadvantage as losing today's frst game. Of course the ideal situation is to win today and win tomorrow to advance to the finlas on Sat only needing one win to win the title.

Up 3-0 in the bottom of the 6th. Winburn with 6 innings pitched & only 2 hits allowed.

Keep grinding ladies and get into the Queen seat
