women v Drexel this evening

Post by tenn hen »

now may be the last gasp of blue hen bball for the season. In all probability it will be except if our ladies decide to slow it down except for a clear advantage in breaking.

well 2 TOs already

Now 5 turnovers in less than five minutes. Whatever the world record is for TOs, it may be in danger.

Drexel will settle down and their putrid start in FG% will increase and probably be decisive. If our players who are more athletic can cut out the disastrous TOs and p[lay solid D, who knows what lurks?

we lead at half. Drexel's O has not settled down due to our D and their anxiousness with the ball. There is no reason we can't win the game and move along and at least make the final. We just need to "rein in the horses" and cut down the TOs.

BTW-big Crowd=don't cha think

edit-5 minutes left- horrible FG% both teams and TOs - any bodies game to advance

edit- 2 and a half minutes- our RBs are dominating- just hopefully limit stupid errors and they we will advance!

Watched the last two minutes. If that’s not the perfect picture of the season, I don’t know what is. That’s the play you run coming out of a timeout down 2??

I did flip on the post game. Glad Jenkins finally took some responsibility for the disaster of a season. The few coaches shows I listened to, that was not the case.

A very, very important off season for this program as well.

Seem to be a problem all season near the end of the game and close games we’d call timeouts and run Terrible plays out of them to me that’s coaching and that’s a problem. I’m really not sure that things are gonna get better next season if she can’t figure herself out. All in all terrible showing by our basketball teams in DC.

Just to pile on...take a look at ESPNs win probability in the last 2-3 minutes.

22 turnovers . History keeps repeating itself . The same story again and again . Time for a change . Might be the worst bball played by UD women in the 26 years of having season tickets . Unacceptable.

Just another collapse with a 5 point lead with 2 minutes to go. This coaching staff and team have no clue as to how to finish games. They have not delivered on many opportunities to bring home victories this season because they don’t know how to protect leads. By this time in the season, it is entirely on the coaching staff for failure to learn from their mistakes to improve going forward. I won’t even mention the turnovers, which are a direct reflection of lack of discipline and NO ATTENTION TO DETAIL! This staff needs to look in the mirror and ask the question ,” do I really know what it takes to Coach and recruit the DI level?????? Averaging close to 20 turnovers a game is horrendous performance at any level and entirely on the coaching staff for acting as friends instead of putting the players in their place with their scholarship at stake!! Embarrassing to my University!!

Yes, it really tics me off how bad they are. No excuse. Drexel wasn’t much better this year which makes me think that she’s got another year to fix this but the problem is I’m not sure it’s fixable. I don’t think they know what they’re doing everything so Helter skelter and sloppy, does anyone know how long her contract was?I’m not sure that we’re in the position to buy out contracts . I’m sure Chrissy has her hands full with the move to C USA, Getting a hockey program off the ground and securing a place in a league for other teams that can’t move to C USA I think these two coaches unfortunately will get another year

Sometimes it's a big mistake to assume that the resident top assistant is best qualified to fill a coaching vacancy. I think Nova might be thinking that.

After our dreadful loss to Drexel, they have moved to the final today at 2:00 v. #1 Stony Brook. The Dragons improved their FG% and limited their TOs in defeating #2 Monmouth and then Towson in the final seconds. Speaking of timeouts- they scored a beautiful inbounds play as time ran out to secure the victory. That was in contrast to Our UD teams final seconds failure as pointed out by UDforever.

All UD needed was a lack of TOs and we'd be playing in the final for that Big Dance autobid! It's a darn shame that SJ lacked the discipline and experience to have grabbed the opportunity(parity) presenting itself this season.

Our program couldn't be any lower in fan interest or court performance. Frankly it's embarrassing and deflating game after game to view the product(c#220) on the floor! Even a diehard blue hen fan like me may decide to simply limit or refrain from watching the women play next season unless a change is made.

You assume they beat Monmouth and Towson???? Bad assumption IMHO

This was not a very good Team. Period, no spins can be made for their poor performance this season.

Please send the kush!!!!!!!
