Didn’t develop Hall or Flacco. Just had an opportunity to play.
Double down on absurdity. Picked two guys out of hundreds. Don't fool yourself both those guys got coached well. Just asked them, they'll tell you themselves
Yup. Apparently, tubby hasn’t bothered to listen to Flacco…the guy has often credited the UD coaching stafff for improving his game.
And…drum roll, please…Keeler also had the conversation with Flacco when Flacco said he wanted to play baseball in the Spring. Flacco ended up practicing football instead of playing baseball.

Cluck U, Conference record is a very important metric that among other things help determined whether or not UD made the playoffs and playoff home field advantage In future, conference record will be a big factor in any UD Bowl appearances. You just keep overstating the importance (very little) that you allege I placed on Murray's 3-0 conference record when all I was doing was reporting the overall and conference record of each of the three HCs referenced by Bluewywn Gold. I find it interesting that Bluewyn Gold didn't include Tubby's record in his comparison of UD FB HC greats. I followed his lead in that respect.
Huh? A 3-0 record (3 games!) in conference is not an important factor in a coach’s career…especially in ralation to a coach making the College Hall of Fame. There is no highlight note that bragged that Murray was undefeated in in-conference games at Delaware…heck, it wasn’t even mentioned in UD’s bio of their Hall of Fame coach.
Obviously, Keeler’s record setting record against playoff foes is a huge factor in his success. It meant that our Hens faired well in the playoffs against other coaches who won their “all-important” conference championships.
And, you didn’t comment on how you would compare Carty’s career if he won an FBS National championship but had a 57%+ in-conference record if we played in the SEC/Big#. Because…there IS a big difference if our Hens play in a lousy conference versus playing in the best conference in the nation.
Name the last 5 Pioneer Conference champions. Now, name the last 5 FCS national champions. Which teams are considered the best in FCS? Everyone at this level can name the Dakotas and the Montanas…but few can name each conference champion.

William, I was giving you the benefit of the doubt and hoping you wouldn't keep digging deeper into an absurdist quagmire.
Put your personal grievances aside. Our newly minted UD HoF'er, Keeler will undoubtedly be a first-ballot College FB HoF'er. As for his accomplishments at UD, he's on comfortable footing with the other three greats that coached here. KC will be forever remembered as the only UD football coach to win a D-I national championship and the one with the best playoff tournament record by far. That ain't chopped liver, brother.
Bluewyn Gold,
I alreay ;ostrd that I ws not making an argument that Keelr didn't belong in the UD Athletics HOF. What more fdo you want?

Love KC, but a great recruiter who couldn’t coach. Transfers like Hall, Flacco, etc pushed us over. Great at knowing it’s the players who help make you win. Still like coaches that taught (wing-t) and improved performance . Everyone can’t be the in the top conferences.
If Tubby retired in 1995 like he should’ve UD probably wins a few titles between the late 90’s and early 00’s but he stuck around for the sole purpose of getting to 300…
Total BS, you Tubby hater!

Facts...as in: Tubby was chasing 300 wins...do not always equate to hatred. OF COURSE, Tubby was chasing 300 wins. The guy was smart, funny, and VERY into calculating things.
On another note..."fared well" (not faired well). My bad/ ^^^^^^^
Yup, I catch myself every once in a while (not to be confused with, I touch myself every once in a while):
