He is now the winningest active coach in college football since Brian Kelly got fired yesterdayBluewyn Gold wrote: ↑Mon Oct 27, 2025 12:11 pm KC is now the 20th winningest coach in college football history, passing Monte Cater at Shepherd. It's possible he'll surpass Frank Beamer and Mack Brown by the end of next season.
UD to FBS. I never thought I’d see the day

What an amazing coaching career and I have no doubt he's going to get to 300.

That's pretty darn amazing. I'm lazy, how many of those W's as UD coach?
I got it, 86 wins.

I wonder where Harker stands on the All-Time Greatest University Presidents list?

Be careful of the words you say,
keep them soft and sweet.

which ones you'll have to eat!

Keeler’s agent said he’s in discussions with PSU.
Re: KC Keeler - Temple
PSU has always been his dream job, but I can’t imagine he’s a serious candidate at this point in his career. PSU supporters/alum would blow a gasket if that happened.

86-52, all time at UD, also, 97-39 at Sammy, 88-21-1 at Rowan and 5-3 at Temple. KC wins wherever he goes!Info Hound wrote: ↑Mon Oct 27, 2025 7:49 pm That's pretty darn amazing. I'm lazy, how many of those W's as UD coach?

Just google him! Reminds me of another coach in his mid 60’s who just wins!Henny wrote: ↑Mon Oct 27, 2025 10:27 pm86-52, all time at UD, also, 97-39 at Sammy, 88-21-1 at Rowan and 5-3 at Temple. Re: KC Keeler - Temple
Is anyone writing a book about the disastrous firing of KC Keeler as the University of Delaware football coach?
Opening chapter would have to be KC playing high school football in Emmaus Pennsylvania and now he was recruited by another Delaware Hall of Fame coach named Tubby
Raymond. And how he came to Delaware and totally recognized the traditions, the winning and the national championships and what it meant to be a Delaware Blue Hen
How that tradition started flowing through his veins
A couple of chapters would have to be devoted to the misery of watching Dave Brock teams and the stubborn Danny Rocco who didn’t emphasize winning enough. Poor VMI might want to drop down a level as they are just totally overmatched.
The final chapter of the book is still playing out before our eyes, as one of KC’s backup quarterbacks at Delaware, and much later his offensive coordinator down at Sam Houston State was gifted his Johnny come marching home again job.
Somewhere inside of this book, it should be mentioned that Ryan Carty got a significant résumé bullet when KC assembled one of the most talented FCS teams in recent memory with a dynamic quarterback, a spectacular wide receiver, and some Alpha dogs on the defensive line that managed to knock off James Madison, North Dakota State and South Dakota State in succession to win a national championship. Once those players graduated and moved on, the results just weren’t the same.
And maybe the final line of the book should go something like this ….
Although KC Keeler getting fired was disastrous for the U of Delaware, it was anything but for Hall of Fame Coach KC Keeler

Re: KC Keeler - Temple
Was it really seriously considered that KC could have come back to UD after Rocco was canned and before Carty was hired? IF KC can win at Temple he can win just about anywhere. Would he have taken the Job? I would take Carty over Brock and Rocco but jury is still out. This team this year despite its obvious flaws and questionable coaching decisions is still competing better then most of us would have thought so far in CUSA. Will we ever get a special coach again like KC? Amazing not too long ago Curt Cignetti was coaching against us at Elon....Thats the type of special coach we havent been able to get....Caribbean Hen wrote: ↑Tue Oct 28, 2025 8:57 am Is anyone writing a book about the disastrous firing of KC Keeler as the University of Delaware football coach?

Re: KC Keeler - Temple
And to think, UD blackballed KC Keeler…and some people on here loved and supported that twisted effort.
All of the lies…trying to destroy a man. It almost worked.
And what did those small minded idiots do for their beloved Delaware Blue Hens? They brought us a decade of low expectations, bad football and a shrinking fan base. KC Keeler Derangement Syndrome was real.
Clowns.
Happy that one of KC’s coaching tree is leading our Hens back to success. Even happier that the screeching weasels had to watch Keeler get welcomed back to campus and inducted into UD’s Hall of Fame.
KC’s bust will make its way into the Tub.
Good luck to Keeler. Hope he continues to have success both on and off the field.

Re: KC Keeler - Temple
Hopefully, KCK can pick up another win, or 2 & finish the season 6-6 or 7-5 including a 1-point loss to a 7-0 Navy team.

Re: KC Keeler - Temple
KC is a good guy. He is a Hall of Fame worthy coach. He is doing an amazing job at Temple.
But do we really need to rehash what happened 13 years ago? I guess it is therapy for some or a way to critique UD football for others. I would imagine KC moved on many years ago.
Jeesh, just a mention of our beloved KC and we have to open a redundant book again.
