This is a really, really nice pickup. Was ranked the #26 recruit coming out of high school.

Wow, things have been frustrating with MBB but we seemed to have pulled in 2 good ones so far.

Looks like another great pickup by MI and staff, but a little concerned with his decision to leave Georgetown after only 6 games this past season. Lord knows we don’t need more guys not willing to play. Hopefully it was just a bad fit and he’s ready to get to work. Now let’s get some beef down low!!!

Christian Bliss also limited his play at UVA for personal reasons before transferring to Delaware. He worked out well (albeit for one year!).

I’m certainly not complaining…just a little PTSD after last season’s debacle…😜

No way we get a kid of this pedigree if not for a few question marks. Hopefully he is fully committed and ready to ball. As much smack as I’ve talked about MI in the past, you have to give him a solid “A” thus far with these 3 pickups. Now he’s got to deliver some size and athleticism in the post for us to have a legitimate shot at making some noise in the CUSA next year…where’s the beef??? 🤣

20. DeShawn Harris-Smith, 6-foot-5 junior guard, Georgetown to Delaware
DeShawn Harris-Smith is a player who can impact the game in a dozen different ways. Before an undisclosed injury ended his Georgetown career in November, he was shooting 60-percent from the field while racking up steals, assists and defensive rebounds. Harris-Smith is a high-motor athlete who excels at moving the ball — kick-outs, finding lanes, getting downcourt. He’s sublime at drawing contact and has markedly improved at the line since his freshman year. The former Maryland ACC All-Freshman could use work on his right-side, but otherwise seems like a perfect plug-and-play add for Delaware.
