Re: Bliss
fwiw per 24/7 Sports, Bliss is the #38 combo guard and #90 guard overall in the portal. Wonder what the payday is for that? He won’t be a PG for a higher level P4. He just isn’t quick or athletic enough. He will struggle defensively. He could be a decent role playing combo guard for a Rutgers, BC or Providence type P4 but only if they have a good PG.
Also fwiw, Fernandez was #24 shooting forward. IMO he has a higher upside than Bliss as I think we will be able to score more against higher competition than Bliss. But he isn’t a great ball handler and isn’t as athletic as many 6’6 shooting forwards. He will also struggle defensively. It’s why he likely won’t end up at a higher level P4.
But wherever these guys end up, they will apparently be get more $ than UD is willing to pay.

Re: Bliss
I have seen a couple of recruiting sites posting some surprise (as of May 14) that Bliss is still available in the portal. That does not mean he is without offers. Maybe he and his advisors believe he can afford to be patient before making a decision? Any notion that he might return to UD is unrealistic, IMHO.
Re: Bliss
6th best transfer available per this site. I am surprised he hasn't landed somewhere.

He is an interesting player and possibly P4's schools trying to figure him out. 6'4, good physical size but is not fast or athletic. Knows how to use angles and his body to get in the lane and can shoot. I think he would make a great PG on a good athletic P4 team but could see him at an A10 team as well. If he ends up at a MAC or Sun Belt team, going to shake my head.

Re: Bliss
30% of DIV1 basketball players that enter the portal don’t even get a DIV1 scholarship offer, let alone a NIL deal. Mr Bliss is apparently getting a dose of this hard reality.
Re: Bliss
I think he’s just taking his time. The ones that don’t get a scholarship are the ones that average like 1 or 2 points a game. Bliss is obviously not one of those type of players so he will land somewhere, it’s just a matter of time and making sure the fit is correct from his and the team’s point of view, and maybe even NIL money.
GO BIG BLUE!
