Phillies got 9 hits and 7 walks and could only muster 4 runs. And the Braves get 4 hits and only 1 walk and win 5-4. Pissing the game away is right. So many guys left on base. They have to send Bohm in the first. Turner makes yet another error to let in a run. Wheeler makes one bad pitch to the worst hitter in the line up and gets burned. And then Hoffman shitz the bed. And what a staggering way to end it in the 9th with Harper getting double after an incredible catch at the fence. Simply stunning, For sure they can come back, but it is going to be really difficult.

Frustrating to watch the Phils swinging at a lot of first pitches against the Braves relievers. 3 pitches, 3 strikes. Looked like the World Series again.

I told Lil’ Cluck they would probably need a couple more runs but they had lost their patience at the plate.

Oh well, still have home field advantage.

Let’s hope the Braves pitchers combine for a vey high 179 pitches and walk 7 batters and only have 1 low pitch inning again. And that one low pitch (8) inning was on a double play of a great catch at the fence. It would be hard for the Phillies to blow two games in a row if the Braves pitchers do that again.

If any team has the mental fortitude to come back from this it's the Phillies. We'll see over the course of the two games in Philly. Bright side is that the Braves pitching staff hasn't looked good all series and it's hard to imagine them getting better at CBP. Gut-wrenching loss last night, but if this team is who we think they are then I look forward to the next two home games.

Nola can make up for his season, and help himself big time in free agency, with a great post season performance. So far so good against the Marlins, really need him tonight. Enjoy Pat.

Bring it home tomorrow. Love the “we want Strider” chant. He wilted under the pressure last year as the crowd got to him. Hope it happens tomorrow.

Hope it happens too, but IMO, actually thought that chant was stupid. Just let sleeping dogs lie. Ask Arcia about it.

Go Phils!

Yeah, those “revenge” stories sound great, but how many times has a team dissed another team and still beat them? You just don’t hear about those stories because it doesn’t sell as well.

Happy Harper had a great game. What is he going to use as motivation this game? Whatever it is, it didn’t work in the WS last year, so I hope he (and the team) finds his groove again tonight.

The Braves are cooked 79

You’re 100% correct on Strider and the same recipe he choked on last year is on the menu tonight

It will be like Burt Hooton all over again just like 1977 at the Vet

Dbacks on deck
